My guess for verizon.....Dec 19th, same week the GNex was released on VZ.

Oi vey...don't do that to me. The only thing that made that wait tolerable was that epic gnex thread. I am thinking no earlier than the first week of December though on Big Red. I think they want to give the Droid Turbo at least a solid month before releasing the Nexus.

Looks like Verizon *may* not be carrying stock in stores:

"The Nexus 6 will also be available in AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, and U.S. Cellular stores later in November. Please check with your local carrier store for more information."

...Or it could be interpreted as they just won't carry it in November. I tend to lean toward the former given their relationship with nexus in the past.

Edit: I'm about 2 hours late  You guys are fast!!!

I disagree. I've been with AT&T since 1996. I have 4 lines on my account. They treat me like a rock star every time I deal with them. Google can't even manage a pre-order.
Once you get the device in hand Googles customer support is fantastic.

Unlocking/rooting doesn't void warranties, they'll next day ship you a replacement phone for free, and they even covered water damage or broken screens on the nexus 5.

I've been using AT&T for well over 15 yrs, T-Mobile concurrently for 5 yrs. The quality of customer service has been stellar. Especially with AT&T.

Google made a mess of the Nexus 4 launch, yet last years Nexus 5 launch was much better which left me thinking perhaps this Nexus 6 launch would be even better. Needless to say it was dreadful.

I digress for a moment to share that I enjoyed amazing world class customer service from Google Play with the six, yes 6 Nexus 5 models i bought for family members once they requested I get them out of their iPhone's after they tried my Nexus 5. After a full year with these six N5 phones delivering nearly perfect service I'm a huge Nexus enthusiast at this point.

The Nexus 6 is so ideal for me, I'm choosing to tolerate whatever it takes to buy via Google Play. There's simply too many advantages to go elsewhere.

Believe me I have had several times when I've dealt with Google and they're so amazing, so professional, courteous, give free shipping both ways, replace your phone without hesitation or suspicion, frankly I am both surprised and delighted at how good they are.

Precisely my experience with Google! I bought a Nexus 5 last year thinking I would switch from Verizon to AT&T. The coverage for AT&T was not great, and I wanted to stick it out, but in the end I went back to my S4 and Verizon. But along the way:

- they replaced (with free next day shipping) 2 units, both for the "loose vibration motor"
- when it came time to return the 3rd one because I couldn't live with EDGE where I used to have LTE on verizon they did so with zero trouble.

Terrific support and willing to do what's right to keep customers around. The result? I'm willing to pre-order through them even if it means I will get the device a week later than others buying locally.

Can't recommend GPS enough!

Maybe true BUT -

I had a conversation with local Verizon store manager - he said he has been with Verizon a long time, and based on past history his thinking -

1- (as others have said) Moto Turbo is in full launch promo right now. Big Red does not like to promote 2 'new' flagship phone launches at the same time. So no Nex6 till the Turbo promo fever cools a bit.

2 - Verizon like to have a fresh promo for Black Friday. He expects either a discount on the Turbo for that weekend, or a Nex6 launch that week.

If he is wrong, maybe we Red followers will get it on 12/19... But hope I don't have to wait that long. Could be enough for me to make the jump to ATT.

COMMON VERIZON! HAVE UPGRADE, WILL TRAVEL!

Is anyone else worried about build quality? The higher price and the fact that it's moto gave me a lot of hope. But the Nexus 9 is a lot pricier than previous tablets and is supposed to be "premium" as well (and HTC's M7/M8 afaik have great build quality) but then there's the terrible light bleed many have as well as this defect.

I'm not worried at all. HTC messed that up.

I bought a 2nd Gen Moto X, build quality is exemplary. Don't waste time worrying, I'm confident the Moto made Nexus 6 will be simply stellar.

I say relax, breathe, be patient.

Yeah I'm hoping they had to cut corners on cost/QA somehow there and the N6 won't suffer anything like that.

It just seems like Nexus has become synonymous with "more hw defects than flagship phones". No phone is without its minor flaws, but I'm thinking back to the gnex and the fact that it took me 4 devices to get one that didn't have horrible plaid banding or a radio that died 10x a day. My N7 2012 was great, no issues there. So just unlucky with the gnex I guess, though the two N5's I had both had the vibration motor defect.

Hopefully it'll be fine. :D
