Got my turbo. So far so good. Just have to get used to some differences from the razr Maxx HD I had.

1) I can't seem to surf web while on the phone with turbo? I was pretty sure I could with Maxx even with wifi off. am I dreaming?

2)when scrolling left from 'home' screen on max HD you could get to the 'quick settings page' as seen in attachment. is that gone on the turbo? if so that sucks. having to pull down settings menu w/ two fingers and then go into each menu to change things blows.

3)is there not a light on the turbo? the maxx had one that would let you know if you had a notification. is my only option w/ turbo the new moto motion deal where I have to wave at my phone or actually voice command it to talk to me? not the coolest thing in the office.

thanks

1) I noticed this too (coming from Droid Maxx). The Device requires the Advanced 1.0 technology (etc) for the Data and Voice at the same time. I called a CSR today about this. I was told a software update will be pushed to the phone (by the end of the year) so currently we have a cool new toy with 5 year old 3g ability ( no data and voice at the same time, for now)

bummed me out, good thing I have my LTE Tablet with me most the time..

2) Was that on the MAXX HD? never had that on my Droid Maxx

3)no, you have the active display Like the Droid Maxx and Moto X. there is no flashing light

You can just long-press on WiFi and Bluetooth in the two finger settings shade if you want to toggle them on and off. If all you want to do is toggle, then a long-press is all that you need.

You can also add a widget called the Power Control widget to give one-touch controls for toggling on a homescreen, if you like.

It's the wave of the future for Verizon. Everyone is going to 1 signal chip and "Advance calling" will allow it to carry both voice and data ONCE Verizon flips the switch. Before, phones had to have 2 separate chips to do both which resulted in more battery draw, larger form factory, and higher costs. This is better, its just annoying that Verizon hasn't turned it on yet for the Droid (I believe only one phone has it activated so far) but this will be the case for all new Verizon phones

No idea, never had that setting

Just the Moto Active display. Active display is much better , IMHO, than any notification light. Glad to have that light gone and won't be able to give up Active Display so will be stuck buying Moto until someone else adopts that feature

Thanks! The long press works great. I can deal with that. OK feeling better about my new toy now.

I will give the active display another shot

The issue for those of us who would also like or outright prefer an LED notification light is the when glancing at the phone to find out about notifications you have to either time it perfectly for Active Display or wait for it to pulse. A notification light tells you at glance anytime whether you have a notification and if set up to use colors can tell you exactly what notification is waiting. Apparently, it's not a big deal to some, but I hate wasting time (even a few seconds) waiting for the pulse and I can't always reach for the phone to wave it on.

Yes, I knew the DT didn't have an LED and I was familiar with Active Display with my wife's Moto X, but actually not having the LED on my phone is a bigger deal for me than I expected.
