Lollipop?

For those who have experience with LG's other non-flagship phones, what do our prospects look like for getting an official Lollipop update? I don't know how LG has handled Android updates in the past, and having a non-flagship phone makes me a little more than worried. I do recall talk from some time ago about manufacturers supporting their devices with new updates for at least two years, but I don't know what's happened with that.

EDIT: A small preview of LG's version of Lollipop

...huh. Seeing our phone on that list is surprising, given its relative obscurity. I'd like to get my hopes up, but I'm not familiar with that site and I have no idea how reputable it is. I also don't see where they sourced that table from.

EDIT: Also, the ETA date may be true, but I'm pretty certain that that rom is fake.

I think I remember the Optimus V being updated from 2.2 to 2.3? The Volt is a pretty popular phone on Virgin and has pretty high ratings (I'd assume the same on Boost), and as old as the GS3 is, it still got an update to KitKat. I'd like to remain cautiously optimistic about getting Lollipop.

I removed the link as it looks pretty suspicious. I know we're all anxious to get Lollipop on our devices, but we need to be careful that we don't unintentionally install something that might damage our phones.

I'd recommend patience at least until a known ROM developer starts churning out 5.0 builds.

Feel free to PM me if you've got questions. :)

The Galaxy are high $$$ phones so I believe that is why they do those. Kinda like a perk to buy the high priced phones and to entice you to buy them because they upgrade them.

I'm itching to get rid of this "nearly stock" ROM, I know they redesigned the L to be faster and work on cheaper hardware. I used android 2.3.5 by PlayfulGod which was about 101mb, there's no reason why a BASE "L" android couldn't be that small.
Because to cut down on RAM usage that data has to go/be stored somewhere. Storage isn't an issue with this phone. I also don't see your point here.
