Help Text messages

Can someone please tell me how to set my text messages so they all are in the same format?? I have handscent and then whatever the phone has. Some people's message appear in one format and some the other . . .

Also--what is deal with Chomp vs. handscent vs. whatever else?? Too many choices coming from a non-android phone!

Do you mean you're getting dual notifications for Handcent and the stock messaging app? If that's the case open the stock messaging app, menu>settings>un-check notification settings. Your messages will still go to the stock app (even with auto-retrieve off), I don't think that can be fixed because I think the third party apps piggy back on it. As far as choice goes I stick with Handcent, I like the customization, the pop ups, and the auto pic resizing.

Agree with everything said above. Just wanted to add that I too have been using Handcent over Chomp mainly because I have read that Chomp takes up a bit more space/possible memory leak compared to Handcent. Again I cant really confirm this as I havn't tried Chomp, but it is something to investigate if you are debating between the two.

Different peoples text are displayed in different formats because you changed that persons format to something different.

There is a Main Menu > Settings > Bubble Settings which can control all people texts format OR you can change each individually which is what you probably did for multiple people by going into the text thread and selected the personalization options on the top right which only changes what the thread looks like with that person alone.

Here is what mine looks like and I am very happy with it. Originally I was doing what you were doing and couldn't figure out why everyone looked different. So I just set everything to default and customized everything from the main menu settings so it all looked alike.

Whats the battery app your using or is it stock and i'm just missing the setting. I like the percentage in the left corner.

I cannot seem to find "bubble settings." I really like handcent, too. I love your setup, but for some reason, I cannot set it up right. Driving me insane!!
