Get ready for OTA!!! (Build 494 and Software number 605.2)

Sorry created my own post for this. I'm being told by a corporate manager this update is to fix 2 things
1. Exchange and POP problems
2. The biggest problem apparently, Call Quality and Signal Strength.

I didn't even mention this to him before I saw it on here, and he came right out and said it will be available before weeks end

1.) This was fixed already in the OTA that was released last weekend which was to only corporate Incredible handsets.
2.) A corporate manager I doubt would have any info on doing an OTA to signify #2. Not doubting you, but highly unlikely. That and there isn't that bad of a call quality problem. The signal strength is not an issue either, the bars are just not correct which isn't causing a problem with strength you go by dbm for that.

As far as the reboots everyone is concerned about, this was already addressed and needed an update to cell towers in the affect NC region. I don't forsee another OTA update anytime soon.

Always going to have haters. What are the odds that he tells me this, without even mentioning an update or those problems. I called because were still having issues with exchange and because 2 of the phones get really bad reception inside. Before I could even ask about it, he blurted it out that I should watch for an update. Why does everyone think people are lying

Should everybody have gotten this OTA, or only the people who pay for the $44.99 corporate data plan?

I use Exchange email but pay the $29.99 data plan, because that's all that's necessary. I will be kind of irritated if I do not get the Exchange bug fix.

I cant say for sure. I recieved it on 2 phones that have the corporate plan. The 3rd doesnt and didnt get it

How am I hating, when it's all factual. The exchange issue was resolved for corporate issued phones and is in many news articles. I never said it was fixed for regular handhelds (if there is an issue for regular handhelds) that 90% of people have, did I? You also need to consider the fact OTA updates go out in groups not at once otherwise it's a cluster****.

Everyone complains of bad reception when the numbers or the bars are just incorrect, this is all over the forum and web. I get -88 to -101 dbm every day and never have any call drops or bad reception and I live in the DC metro area. No one said anyone was lying, it's just there are bugs. The phone is less then a week old give it time for things to be fixed a 'corporate manager' won't know anything about when an OTA fix will appear though, the web usually finds out when it gets released.

Just be patient like all of us and wait it out. That or go to AT&T and be unhappy with service that will never change no matter what phone you have. :)

According to Engadget, this OTA only addressed an issue with Exchange on corporate accounts. If your phone isn't on a corporate plan you won't be getting this update, I believe.

Yeah, that's my understanding too, and it's ridiculous. I know there are dozens of people on this forum alone that use Exchange but only have the $29.99 plan. I guess we are stuck with the Exchange forwarding bug.

Strange i was sitting here earlier....wondering what was missing in my life...and then it downed on me...i'm not waiting on anything incredible....i was poking around the forums and generally kind of quiet.

Like once the meal is served...people just dig in and the quiet in the room is palpable....

Now i feel better...waiting on on incredible update....thanks@@@;);)
