Yes it officially announce by december or january Samsung/Google will be rolling out V5.0 Lolipop for the Samsung Galaxy s4 except international yet,

we hope that lolipop is worth it then being on kitkat but who knows i cant wait to flash it on my s4.

In my opinion i cannot say that google hasnt patched the os to prevent rooting or flashing custom roms or recovery to root the phone but i can say that i hope that it doesnt effect devs mostly.

see jellybean and below are easy to implement apps as system files but as kit kat you cant, you require to access important binary files i beleive not sure if im correct, and code each app for the system to reconize the app witch will make the os think thst is apart of the os but if you dont it'll think its a currupted apk, hopefully google might have that same crap in lolipop as well

Im just sharing this because thought everyone might wanna know!

The international version is getting Lollipop, it's just not being updated to 4.4.4 before.

I think you may have misread that article Cyberdev and got a bit carried away! ;)

As per my post from 11 days ago, here, it would appear that Samsung are side lining the 4.4.4 release for the International versions and going straight to Android 5, Lollipop. The exact opposite in fact, to your post.

To be more accurate, you need to re-title the thread to..

Samsung Galaxy S4, except International Phones, will possibly be Receiving Android 4.4.4 before Lollipop

(My tip... take more water with it next time. )
