Root really really confused

I was reading about flashing andriod 1.6 to my behold, and i saw it said "NEVER flash your phone more then once" huh? i thought when ever you installed a new ROM you flashed it? i am really confused about that..

one other thing...my behold 2 has 1.5 on it. will putting the 1.6 with NO twiz improve the speed of this phone?? right now it is terrible..

Dunno about that 1st part but as for the second. It'll speed it up...There's a final version for both the Galaxy and No Touch Wiz due out soon.

i flashed it more than once, i installed 1.6, went back to stock 1.5 now i am on 1.6 with twiz again

Phone / Boot / PDA are All parts for ODIN Flasher....

.OPS = Partition Mapping & Must be Loaded before Flash any File
PHONE = AMSS which is the Radio
BOOT = Bootloader & Download Mode among other things it controls
PDA = This Contains the Phone Software Kernel / Recovery / Cache / Userdata

What You Read was Misunderstood on your Part... Never Flash PHONE ( AMSS Radio ) / BOOT ( Bootloader ) More than you Need to... There is no point to flash this everytime & Could brick your Phone if the Update goes bad... Only flash when there are Updated versions of it..

ok i see now. i just got my behold and want to update to 1.6 with no samngsung bloatware...what should i flash? i want the regualr andriod 1.6 look

Galaxy is Technically Stock Looking Android.

No Twiz is the Stock Behold 2 with the Tray moved to the bottom and the Rotating Screen removed. (mostly)

Well, that depends.

If you're comparing Stock Behold 2 1.5 with full TouchWiz (IE: The way it comes from the store) to Galaxy 1.6, it's almost night and day.


On the other hand, if you're comparing Stock Behold 2 1.5 with No TouchWiz (One of the older ROMs) to Behold 2 1.6 with No TouchWiz (Warheads, at this point), it's not going to be quite as noticable.

If you compare Stock 1.5 to the "Stock" 1.6 (Both with TWiz), again, not a huge difference.


The big benifit, performance wise, is the reduction/removal of the TWiz features.
