Sync fails note 3

Starting about a month ago my Note 3 will no longer sync. This means my calendar never shows any events. This is only on the note 3; calender works on every other device. "Calengoo" app worked instantly and is now my only calender app on the note 3. I tried the fix where you delete all accounts and re-install them but Google never syncs. Is Android broke on this? Anyone have a way I can fix this? Have not gotten anywhere with Google on this and don't know how to interest Samsung. I like the Calengoo. Could use a larger font but it looks really nice. This is important since I rely on my calender for important stuff.

If you recently changed your password or Added 2 factor authentication or Added a new Rom or changed the Device ID then you will have to click on the sync error message in the notification bar, then it will ask you to input your password again.

If you recently installed or updated an application which needs permission to access your Google Account you might need to do the same thing, tap on the sync error message in the notification bar & click "Allow access" or similar message that shows up asking for permission to access your Google account.

Non of the above. When I click on the sync error it just says 'difficulties will be back soon'.

Then you can go into your phone's contacts & press your phone's menu button & choose "Merge Accounts" , then choose "Merge with Google". Then sync after that. Otherwise you will have to wait & try again in a few hours.

Which Rom are you using?

The app is google calender. The app "Calengoo" works fine.

Yes but your problem is syncing with the default Google Calendar, but unfortunately Calengoo doesn't seem to be the problem, it's your default Calendar, which for obvious reasons having such a high amount of users works beautifully for me and the majority of Android users, so as it isn't working for you I wanted to see if there are any conflicts.

So obviously without telling me your email addresses, can you go to your sync section in your phone & tell me how many Google accounts are in there, & also other accounts which are set to sync from other apps such as Facebook or other apps you've installed?

It's a long process if you don't wanna reset your phone.

Greetings :)

I have three accounts listed. Evernote, Google and Facebook. Have not added any manually; they came back on there own when I deleted them (except of course Google).
I'm about ready to try a reset. I would want a full day clear. Nova doesn't re-download all the apps. It has placeholder icons on the home screens it re-builds. I have 89 apps out over 5 home screens. My main concern is this syncing should always work. Possible the phone is going bad?

Do you have more than 1 Google account? Log on to wallet.google.com & look at any applications you installed around the time your sync started, & uninstall it to see if that is causing problems with your phone.

Try logging in to the web version of the Google account which isn't syncing & going to the web version of Google Calendar. The try to sync your phone again after a few hours.

Also try to delete your Google account which isn't syncing then add it again.

Greetings :)

Only one Google account. No app added that I recall or listed in Google Wallet (lot of movies though; it's handy)
Redoing the account did not help. Guess I'm headed for a factory reset and/or a Note 4.

Not having enough internal memory on the phone would also stop your phone from syncing and also collecting new emails in the Gmail app & other system functions which try to add new data.

Try to delete some movies onto SD card or delete unnecessary data then restart the phone & re-sync & see if that has solved the problem. Also make sure no emojis are inside any of the text of your Calendar appointments.

Greetings :)

Update:
I had programs start crashing & T-mobile updated the Note to 4.42 at about the same time. Between Nova launcher, Google & Samsung I got about 95% back including my Home-screens. Had to delete myself from Google+ too (messing with my contacts; an old story) About the only thing I need now is a keyboard that has those curly brackets since they are in some of my passwords.
Google calender is back; not sure I'm glad.

My Note 3 is only a year old. Hopefully Samsung builds $750 phones that will last me longer. That Note 4 is pretty nice though............................. :)
