Has anyone that purchased directly from Moto able to buy Moto Care? I'm looking for it where they say it is supposed to be and the option isn't there. The email for it came today reminding me to buy within the first 30 days.

Edit:Was finally able to purchase it. Although I'm not sure how I got to the purchase page?

Ah OK. I'm looking at the note 4.i watched the side by side comparisons and found the n6 lacking in many areas for my personal tastes. I was contemplating getting that, that's why I compared both devices. Granted they are really different phones, but I think my money is on the note 4 as that is also expandable and the n6 is not. I think. Forgot if it was or not. Again, not knocking nexus. I have a nexus 7 and love it. Just doesn't fit my needs.

Ordered my 32GB Midnight Blue on Dec. 1st and then was given a "leaves the warehouse by 12/17/14". I was curious if it would ship early because when I bought my N5 on 11/15/13 it stated it would leave the warehouse on 11/26 however I received it at my home on 11/20. My question is for those out there that might have also purchased their N6 on 12/01 in the Play Store, do you show the same release date of 12/17/14 as I do? I chatted with a G rep and they couldn't tell me much, so I'm just afraid I will not receive my phone. I was hoping to get it sooner than stated.

Both my Nexus 5 & 6 models came in a short time. I've received excellent customer service and great ordering experiences. Upon talking to them Friday about another issue the Nexus rep was candid and said they're recovered from the disorganized launch, more phones will arrive shortly so they can get back on track.

My Nexus Order for this year's N6 came from the second batch, arriving at my residence quickly.

Morning gang -

Well, I am done waiting for Verizon to figure out what they want to do. I went into my local VZW store this weekend to ask them about the 15 day return policy, and found out that for Christmas, all phones purchased between now and Christmas will have the return date set to Jan 15. Very nice, decision made. If VZW decided to sell the Nexus before then, I will probably get it. If they still don't have it by the middle of January, I would feel like Charley Brown trying to kick the football, if I was still waiting...

So I left the store with a shiny new Note 4.

My condolences.

I hope you have the opportunity to get an N6 while your return window is open. (In all seriousness - enjoy your phone!)

Congratulations and we'll played. A few weeks with the Note and you'll forget all about that other phone. You dodged a bullet my friend.

That's entirely subjective. For me, going with a Note 4 on Verizon would mean I'm stuck with Touchwiz for a long time, possibly forever with the security enhancements in lollipop. No thanks!

Can someone tell me what's the issue with touchwiz? So many people hate it but for what I've seen and experienced, it's still a phone. If I don't like the interface I'll just install a launcher. Many of them are free or very cheap with many themes. I've sampled the note 4 and even with touchwiz I found I had no problems navigating, making calls, or any other smartphone capabilities. I've noticed that some don't like it and I have wondered why. Can someone elaborate?

While you can change some of the features with alternate launcher, touchwiz is so integrated into Samsung phones that you really are never completely rid of it without flashing a custom ROM. I don't mind it on my Note 10.1, but it was a pig on my S2 and it can be cumbersome.

If you dodge a bullet by jumping in front of a bus, are you really that much better off? ;)

Well like I said, I didn't see anything wrong with it. I could still use Facebook just fine. Still make calls without issue. Still use apps just fine. Still take photos just fine. I think everyone's preference is different and that is fine. I was just curious as to why people hate it. There were android phones and tablets I didn't care for because of the UI but I still used them because it was the best device at the time. The nexus 7 is pretty good but I liked the droid Maxx UI over nexus 7. Similar but the Maxx seemed more superior to me. Now again, that's just me.

Because when you get an Android skinned by a manufacturer, you get their vision of Android. I haven't used a Samsung Android (gave up on Sammy phones back when Windows Mobile was still around) but I've used several others. Even with custom launchers, you still get things changed around and visuals/themes/layouts in other parts of the system that the manufacturer bakes in. It's terrible. Menu settings often are in different areas, behavior of the device is just different.

I don't want Samsung's Android. I want Google's Android. Therefor, anything that does not come with Google's Android is crap IMO. Won't be buying any more Androids that are not either a Nexus or GPE. I'd rather go back to Windows Phone.

edit: Not to mention, everyone I personally know with a Samsung Android (which includes several co-workers, and our CEO) hates them with a passion. They want to go back to an iPhone because it's left such a bad taste in their mouths. Terrible reception, and Touchwiz bugginess, are the biggest complaints. No, thank you.
