Help Lockscreen then Pattern lock?

Is there a way to have the slider Lock screen come up before the pattern lock?
I would like to slide unlock then enter pattern.

I'm using 2.1 dd10 rooted

I don't know of a way. But if you just want to do multiple unnecessary time-killing steps before getting to your home screen, you can always flip the phone over a couple times and count backwards from 5.

Anyone notice how small the pattern lock is now on 2.1 compared to what it was on 1.5? It was a nice big size before and now its even more scrunched to gether on portrate mode than it is on landscape lol

the reason i wanted this is cause the pattern screen has that emergency call button that goes to the dialer. So i rather have the slider so i'm not accidently dialing or anything like that. Plus i like the way the slide lock screen looks. So not "multiple unnecessary time-killing steps" to me. A quick slide and then the pattern, so it'll take an extra 2 seconds maybe lol

Yeh, I like the look of the lock screen too. I just took my lock pattern off. I keep my phone safe anyway. If it ever somehow gets stolen (unlikely) I just change my Gmail and Facebook password and I'm good.

I work at a convention center and there are always phones found. It would be nice to know who it belonged to just by looking. Doubly bad if you can't unlock it to see by the contacts if it belongs to someone you know.

A really good reason (that I never thought of) to leave your phone unlocked. MOST people are honest. If I found a cellphone I would call the last number called and ask "who am I?" In order to find out who the phone belonged to. Not possible if you lock your phone.

Of course, I've never lost a phone in 10 years, but anything is possible. I came close once.

there is an app Contact Owner that does this. Free app on market.
