Given that the Nexus X/6/5(2014) is going to be released by Q1 2015. And we all know new Google Flagship=New Android.
Do you think LG will be updating our device to Android L and if not will it be ported through CM? Leave your thoughts below.

Don't rely on LG for updates. They left their 2012 Flagship device on android 4.2.2 lmao. To put things into perspective, the Nexus 4 is based off the LG Optimus G meaning both phones are running on extremely close specs. The Nexus 4 is running kitkat and is certainly going to be updated to Android L while the Optimus G hasnt even left the first version of JB in certain parts of the world lol. To be fair they did update 1 or 2 international Optimus G's about 2 months ago to kitkat. But as for the USA versions, they are left in the dusty old JB era. They did the same thing to the Optimus F line up too. they only updated the international Optimus F6 and left the Optimus F7 and Optimus F3, both international and USA versions in the dust on 4.1.2.
Point is, dont hold your breath and wait for LG to "maybe" update your device.

I had no first hand experience with manufacturer updates as my first mobile was a rebranded Chinese android phone. A reason I bought this phone was after seeing how LG produced the Nexus 5 and LG G series. This phone is quite good too for its price, shame that manufacturers don't back their phones so well.

I actually do think they will update this device. Its apart of the L 3 series, and there are blogs and post stating the lg devices expected for lollipop. The phone has KitKat and has gotten a few updates from lg for software, and performance updates.

Lmao what updates? You can't even install the first update they push out to the phone! It won't get L, don't hold your breath. Maybe the international versions will but USA ones? Probably not.

EDIT:

Yeah it definitely won't get Android L now that I really think about it. The Cache partition is way too small to download a major OTA like Android L, the only way "maybe" would be if LG did it via the flashtool using kdz files which I highly doubt LG will do cause they're already lazy as hell lol.

I've been helping out a bit on this phone and Chev is right, this phone will never see an "official" L ota update. The phone's cache partition wont be able to hold a major ota. Hell, it cant even hold a damn 200mb UI update that got pushed. This phone has good specs, but the partitioning sucks
Obviously I worded myself badly. Yes, cache partition is so damn small, but if you update via PC suite (not flashtool or anything else), size of cache doesn't matter, because everything is done on computer, much like via flashtool. I was talking about technical possibilities for update, so yes, technically it is possible for L70 to have L update. But I do agree that it is highly unlikely for us to see the official android L update. It just isn't much popular device for LG to give it a major update. Hell, I think even L90 won't get it.

Guys, I have a lg l70 metroPCS ms 323 version, that has the 4.4.2 version "c", and like the first of January In My notification panel appeared an update, I haven't install it yet because i don't want to loose root, also like 3 days ago I talk with a guy on Lg's live chat support, and he told me that it was LOLLIPOP OS, because is rolling out now for Lg's l70... someone of you guys had the same notification and installed the OS update?? If you have lollipop now i will be glad if you tell me if it has any bugs or problems like wasting too fast the battery... thanks.
