I havent tried it yet. Was going to give it a shot last night but all my wiimotes were dead and I had no batteries. I will give it a shot tonight. If it works well it would be even better than game gripper for emulators imo

Yeah, that was where I wasn't totally sure if it required all the ABD commands. So this is essentially it:
Download: .rom.tgz
Install:

• Push the .rom.tgz file to /sdcard
• Reboot into recovery mode (SPRecovery)
• install → install ROM from /sdcard → cwiid-android-1.0.0
• After it performs a NAndroid backup it will unpack the rom.tgz and give you the option to install or cancel installation, choose install.
• You're done! Reboot and the files/directories should be on your phone in the proper place

And, I would also assume Rom Manager can install this too?

Cant use rom manager or clockwork recovery with this. It will only work with SPRecovery. I use clockwork but its easy to flash SPR then flash right back to clockwork after install. Hell rom manager can do all the recovery flashing for you.

And not to sound like an idiot, but essentially all this is doing is if you start up your Wii Remote, it'll start functioning along with your Droid? There's no app or settings involved to get it working?

Yea, the buttoms on the wiimote are mapped to droid keyboard buttons. He lists them in the thread on alldroid. Like I said I havent been able to try it out yet so I am not sure exactly how well it works.

Got plenty of time today as it's my day off. Unless I can't find any fresh batteries, I'll give it a shot here in a bit. Backing up current ROM, flashing SPR and then we'll see what happens!

Alright, not getting it to work. Not sure where I'm going wrong, and I'm not exactly sure of every step that's necessary. Are any ADB commands necessary? The only thing I made sure to do was turn on Bluetooth.

check step 5 on the website. I guess there is some you have to do in ADB.


Edit:Not sure that will even work. I will read more in a few minutes but I am at work right now.

No idea on that first step. There isn't a /cwiid folder under system/etc. I appreciate looking into it for me (and others), but I'm starting to guess this really is out of my league.

I think I have this largely figured out. I gotta get it on my phone and see if it works though. I will let you know.

Anyone know if this is a droid only thing or can this work with the Moment too? Also, is it confirmed to work with emulators?

ok messed with it for awhile and I gotta give up until tonight. But it looks to me like the tgz file didnt push any of the files that it was supposed to. I am going to try to make it into an update.zip tonight if I cant get the tgz to work

I found it much easier to use WiimoteController 0.1 that you can find on XDA Forums. Just install the app, connect your Wiimote, and you're set. Works great with NESoid and SNESoid.

Works as it should! Only had to tweak all the key entries for Nesoid. Saw the demo video. Maybe I'll check out some of the Sega emulators.

Glad you guys like it. I've seen a lot of solutions to getting this to work in the past week or so but none seem to match the simplicity of WiimoteController. Not sure why the other ones get all the press.

Was just going to post at XDA that it functions just fine with BB V1.0. He only has BD and CM there as known compatible ROMs.

I didnt try a classic controller by with the xda app my wiimote worked good. Was playing contra for awhile on it. I didnt ever get into the other method with the app being so much easier
