I think I still AM that guy in some respects. Really makes me respect and appreciate those who volunteer their time and efforts in these forums.

Okay, we'd all like to chuckle about that, but honestly that's exactly what Android Forums is NOT about ... with a capital "OMG"!

Sure, we have people like that come here every day. We also have "My buddy said he could do something to my phone to make it a bazillion times better and now it's stuck with a dead robot." There's the guy who follows all the directions, except the directions didn't warn strongly enough that the process only worked for the "V" variant of that particular model. And of course we get the guys who do successfully root and flash only to delete system files they didn't realize were necessary. You get the idea.

It's easy to roll your eyes and drop a few f-bombs and make fun of them, but how does that help anybody? There is nothing more satisfying that helping the totally clueless understand what they did, help them fix it and then a few weeks later see them helping others in the same boat as they used to be.

We're not the "cool kids" who keep a close knit clique with secret handshakes and private jokes. There's the whole rest of the internet for that.

Believe me there are people like this presenting with such type of questions daily. But at the same time there are volunteers who present with help also whatever they can help. And it is this zeal which is make these forum alive and helpful. I went through this stage and was sorting for help and now I want to help as far as I can.

Yup. This is NOT XDA Developers forum. We don't do the lmgtfy links or call people noobs or link them to patronising memes or gifs.
As Lunatic says "there's the whole rest of the Internet for that"

It wasn't my intention to objectify or hurt anyone with this link, just the opposite actually. I try not to live my life so seriously that I can't look in the mirror and occasionally laugh at myself, i thought that's what humor was intended to do. If it wasn't for AF, I would have a $300 paperweight. I mentioned in my previous post how grateful I am for this forum ( i certainly don't get the same compassion from other places) and how much i appreciate and respect the volunteers here so sorry if it offended anyone, was just trying to spread some smiles, not start controversy.

If there 'was' any moral to this at all, it pays to read, read and read some more. Besides, Hawkins voice over ANYTHING is funny.
