wii controller + emulators

Wii Controller Demo brings your Wiimote and Android phone 2gether, 4ever -- Engadget

YouTube - Playing games on the N1 with Wii Controller!!!

Amazing!.. I am gonna buy a wiimote to do this for sure (I don't own a wii console)!.. Also i think I will try and botch something onto the wiimote so I can attach my nexus to the top of it..

Gutted that (as far as I know) the nexus can't connect to a TV so you can play it on the big screen whilst sat down with a beer!.. Does anyone know if this can be done, even if it means going through a laptop? I believe if you use the TV-out cable from an old nokia it only plays the audio..

wiimote connect does not work :(

got it working flawlessly

not as responsive as i'd like. i think I'll stick to the game gripper :)

I bet.. I was actually thinking about buying a milestone/droid when I saw the game gripper, but this wiimote has changed my mind, (really like my nexus). Some kind of TV-out capability would be the icing on the cake!

I have never wanted a phyical keyboard before cos I love using swype, but in the future I will, because of the game gripper idea!

It's cool that it's possible, but are you really going to carry a controller round with you all the time on the off chance that you might play a quick game?

Ha, naah, am I bollox, but I often have a little play of a game when I'm at home... I'm not much of a gamer and don't own any kind of games console, but I find it nice to have access to something that doesn't take up any room in my house, that I can have a little blast from the past with playing the likes of Street Fighter 2 and sonic etc.. Even more reason that in the future I'll prob look into getting a phone with a Tv-out and/or full keyboard..

only problem i see is that the roms for the wii are rather big in file size

You use ROM's for the snes emulator etc...

Just tried it now with my friends controller, and it does register, but for some reason when I go to put in the "target" (so it recognises the wiimote as the input meathod, as opposed to the phones keyboard), it comes up with a list of the trackball colours instead of the different keyboards and wiimote!!!!... I'm rooted with cyanogen 5.0.6..

Yeah, it can NOT play wii games. Gamecube/wii eumlation takes a HUGE amount of processing. Many of the games need something like an i7 to play. My old laptop had a 260m gtx and a 2.5 core2duo overclocked to 3 Ghz and it couldn't run many games such as mario kart double dash. And I had less trouble playing crysis on very high at native resolution than wind waker...

You downloaded the wrong version.. get the other one. There's only two, so just download the one that you don't have. =p

Anyone know what the Nintendo 64 emulator app he's using is called? I can't find one anywhere..

I think he misspoke. There is no N64 emulator for Android and I'm pretty sure none of the current phones are powerful enough to run one.

The icon looks like it is SNESoid. The game is Donkey Kong Country and if you look at 2:22 in the video it says the copyright year is 1994 which is when the SNES game came out.
