Can you test out a friend's Incredible if he reverts to Droid for a time?

I've got a friend who got an HTC Incredible. He had a Motorola Droid and may be be swapping back to it by the Incredible isn't suiting his needs for a business trip.

If he deactivates with *228 and reactivates his Droid in the same manner, assuming he wipes the Incredible like a factory reset could I deactivate my Droid and activate his and try it out?

Is this possible??

It comes at a good time, I have a Moto Droid since January and I love it. However I am an IT guy and faster/better is always on my mind lol.

I've found that really I don't use the hard keyboard pretty much at all, except for navigating the cursor when I get frustrated! If I can get 7 homescreens and that Snapdragon and RAM boost I might go for it :)

Even not activated I can still charge up and play around with the current apps on the phone (as long as there's wifi connected) and the OS just to get a feel for the difference right?

Since when? I used my wife's eris for 2 weeks and she still got a exchange (bad camera) when I gave it back.

Is she on the same account? If so, then no it won't void your warranty.

HOWEVER, if you are swapping phones out to a separate account, then it WILL void the phone's warranty. I have verified this with several VZW employees, and even called customer service at the time I was activating my Incredible and asked directly, what will void my warranty, and again was told if I decide to pass this phone out of my account, it will do so.
