Has anyone had the issue of your phone not doing anything when someone calls?? I've seen it with my own eyes: someone calling and my phone doing nothing. My phone is usually on vibrate because I have a 3 month old. Today is the second time it's happened, the first time was the first of the year. I just thought it was a bug with the new year. Any help would be greatly appreciated! This mommy is kinda freaking out

I have sort of a similar problem with my Turbo... The ring is OK on incoming calls, but the Notification sound has almost gone away; I have notification volume to the max and all I can hear is a very soft beep no matter what tone I select. Nearly all the tones are replaced with a very quiet single beep; the few that still exist are too quiet to be heard. They are all still in the list but most only produce the beep; the others are too quiet to hear unless in a very quiet location. All the Notification volume settings produce exactly the same volume except for the quietest (mute) which turns it off.

For those that want to suggest novice user things, I will add that the phone is indeed powered up and has a 4G signal, it has been restarted, it is not on mute, nothing is plugged in to the audio jack, etc. This is my third Droid and this problem started fairly recently and I never saw it before on any of the Droids. Since it only affects Notification sounds, it is not a show-stopper, but is annoying.

Welcome to Android Forums.

Try running in Safe Mode (disabling all apps you added without uninstalling them). If the problem stops it is caused by an app that you added.

I tried this and the notification sounds returned to normal. I then restarted normally and all is well. I believe that this started when I began using an app called Moto Voice and selected the option to silence the phone when I am sleeping. Possibly it returned the ring sound to normal the next morning, but not the notification sound. I will verify this tomorrow. In reading the reviews for this app, there are a lot of sound level complaints after they supported Lollipop; I found no reviews related to Turbo. One response from Motorola was "we're working on a fix... has to do with the way the ringer volume is moderated in Lollipop". I don't have Lollipop, but maybe the Turbo sound volumes are affected also.

This has become a major software problem that VZW and Moto will not admit too...
There are numerous forum posts on Verizon's web site with hundreds of complaints on this issue. VZW has been interacting with these posts, but offer useless advice like turn phone off then back on...
The only temporary cure is to clear your cache or in extreme cases do a factory reset. But phone will stop ringing in a few days again...
Of course Verizon's stance is that their software is perfect and it is something that the user is doing to their phone...
I have been suffering from this problem since I got the Turbo at launch.
There are even reports of people getting their phones replaced, with refurbs or course, with same or blem right out of box...

FYI: activating and using HD calling will NOT fix this problem as VZW suggests. All that will do is use your data to make phone calls. And, in my experience, HD calling sounded terrible. Bad echoes, tinny sound, and many complaints from people I was talking to.
Also, turning off bluetooth does not work either...

Finally, someone who knows what I'm saying. Thank you. I'm glad I'm not alone. I'll be going to the Verizon store to complain and see what they say. Its happened on 2 separate days

I spent an hour on the phone with a tier 2 tech support rep from VZW today.
She admitted that as of this time, it is a problem, and confirmed there are only temporary fixes.
VZW will send you a refurbished Droid Turbo if you ask. (but this will not solve the problem)
VZW will not offer you a replacement with any other model phone.
Motorola's official response is to power cycle your phone, and then do not use it for anything for a minimum of 1-hour after your turn it back on...

Seriously!!!??? WTF!!!???

Right now VZW is solely blaming Motorola, and is advising customers to contact Motorola to complain.
Moto: 1-800-734-5870 or www.motorola.com/android

The VZW rep said that Moto has informed VZW that they are aware of the problem, and it should be resolved with the next software (OTA) update, but they will not confirm the release date.

I did the same with support. VZN sent me out a new sim card. the local dealer installed it and all seems ok. nbut this was the third time it didn't answer calls. took two weeks once and two days the other, here is hoping.

YES! I have had this exact same problem with my Turbo B/N 64 not receiving calls. I would notice I had voicemail but no sign I had a call. I called my phone from another line, and nothing. Eventually getting my voicemail.

I tried researching the problem but couldn't find anything on it. I sure hope this isn't the Galaxy Nexus all over again...where there are users on message boards complaining about the same problems but Verizon denying they are getting complaints.

This is unacceptable. I can't afford to miss calls. With battery life not being as good as my Droid Maxx and this issue, I wish I had my old phone back. Very disappointed. I hope they can address this...and that this device isn't another Gnex.

I can't afford it either. With an infant and several elderly people in my life, people keep thinking I'm ignoring them on purpose. Its so ridiculous. I kind of wish I would have stayed with my iPhone 5S.....it really did have better battery life than this. And I'm not even using this phone as much.

I gave up...
Too many problems with this phone that VZW is ignoring.
I even posted a negative review of the phone on their web site, and I got an email that it was flagged for removal, even though it was professionally written, and had no profanity. I am sure they did not like the idea of anyone discouraging people from buying their "Flag Ship" phone.

I sold my phone on Craigslist, got $400.00 for it. I paid off the contract and bought a Note 4.
I have absolutely no problems with my new Note 4...

FYI: I had no problems selling my 64gb model, especially since the average price of a used 32gb was about $550.00

well update.. jan 18th to Jan 30.New sim card and now Feb. 11th.and now the calls are going to voicemail and not showing up .All I can do is shut off the phone ,pull the sim card out ,reinstall card and restart the phone. It will work for awhile and go back to not ringing on incoming calls. This is totally unacceptable.Funny I am 1000 miles from home and I run into another person with the same phone and same problems. He said he just pulls out the sim card and reinstall it and the phone works for a couple of days, really?????

It's hard to believe that this was the first time that they encountered the issue when this story hit yesterday:

http://androidheadlines.com/2015/02/droid-turbo-users-report-not-receiving-phone-calls.html

I'm going to quote the whole thing:

Some owners of the Motorola DROID Turbo are reporting that they are having issues with receiving phone calls on their device. The DROID Turbo is not ringing to alert the user there is a call and goes straight to voicemail. This issue is possibly the result of buggy software. For now Verizon is suggesting that a possible fix for this issues is on the way in the future. If you are experiencing this issue there are a few things that you can do to try and resolve this issue if only temporarily. These might be able to assist you until Motorola or Verizon fixes the issue.

As any computer or mobile device technician will tell you, the first thing you should do is try powering off your device and turning it back on. I know that may sound silly to some of you, but it has been providing temporary relief of this buggy situation. You may also want to try replacing your SIM card. To do this, simply go to your nearest Verizon store and have them give you a new one. You can also check to ensure that call forwarding is turned off as well. To do this, you can dial *73 and follow the instructions given during the call. While this seems to only provide a temporary solution, it may be what you will have to do several times a day in order to keep receiving calls on your DROID Turbo. Then there is the nuclear option. You can try and get a replacement device. This option may work as some users are reporting that some devices do not seem to have this issue, however it is a good chance that since this bug appears to be the result of software, your new device may still have the same issue.

There has been no word as to when a fix will be available. If Motorola or Verizon is going to attempt to fix the issue. It may occur when the DROID Turbo receives its Android 5.0 Lollipop upgrade. Let us know if you have been experiencing this problem or anything similar.

I think that we can call this officially a known bug.
