Bought Hero. Saw Droid. Sold Hero.

Yeah you might be right about that =) Although the primary reason for selling my Hero and waiting for Droid is because the Hero was a little to slow (like when you write texts it could get a delay-.-) and its kinda hard to type fast and proper on it. This is all sorted out on the Droid with the slider QWERTY and the faster processor. Also, I like the high resolution and the fact that its a google experience phone =)

Motorola Droid For Verizon

Could be me, but I'm not impressed with the keyboard. I'm not a fan of those buttons.

I just got my Hero and will qualify for another upgrade next year (full rebate), so I won't have to wait too long to upgrade if I need to.

I will say that i'm loving Android and love the sleekness of the Hero. As nice as the Droid looks, it seems a bit big and not as sexy as the iPhone or Hero. I do like the keyboard offering, but I'd like to see a better looking package all together.

So from what I've read about the DROID, it has a top notch processor. So its gonna be fast (which we won't know how it really runs until it comes out at Verizon) It has a QWERTY keyboard, for people who really want one
and the keys look easier to type on. And with the DROID's display of 854x480 pixels, I wonder how crisp the images will be on that screen.

I’m gonna stick my neck out and say if you sell a perfectly good Smartphone in anticipation of another one with out a release date or at least a month into the future. You don’t really need the Smartphone.

Controversial?

I wouldn’t buy it for at least a month after it had been released just in case the firmware is crap.

There are a lot of "good" android phones in the offing but they have to prove themselves first.

Just my two pennies worth

They really should focus on what android can offer, not what android has that the iPhone doesn't. Not a fan of the ad. Comparing it to the iPhone makes them look cheap imo, the part at the end of the clip is great though.

The problem with that is everyone knows about the iPhone and what it can do. And every mainstream reviewer, even now, is looking for an 'iPhone killer'. So you have to go head to head with it, because if you don't the reviewers will.
