Problems with Work Email

Hey everyone, hope someone can help me. Ive synced up with my work email, and i receive messages flawlessly, but theres a serious problem where when i reply to an email the first character is always missing from the email addresses... for example if the email was from john_smith@work.com the reply email address would be ohn_smith@work.com... anyone else have this problem? Thanks!!
_

Quick work-around is to send it to >>>> xjohn_smith@work.com

hey justjim

thanks for the reply... i've been manually typing in the addresses when I reply, but would like to be able to just hit reply and go (like what i used to be able to do with my bb)... there has to be a bug or something causing the first letter to disappear...

thanks!

yep does sound like a problem with you work mail ....

Have you tried a pop account like yahoo or hotmail to see if the same thing happens ?

Also did you install any third party email apps ..?

I'm having the same problem with a HTC Hero.

It will always drop the first letter of the reply to address.

The mail server is running Kerio 6.7.2, and no other mobile devices have a problem. I am the only user on Android. Connecting as "Active Sync"

I've got the latest 2.7 Modaco rom, but this was also apparent on 2.5 and 2.6.

Unfortunatly, I haven't got access to an Exchange server to see if the problem is Android or Kerio.

I am on Exchange and my Work Email replies don't have that issue..... Does it also toss your email address in the reply as well (so you receive your own email)?

I'm using Kerio & HTC Hero, and yes the reply breaks because the first character is missing, but it is missing when the email is first received on to the HTC Hero.

When I check the email address incoming emails appeared to have been sent from (by reading the sender details from the email on the HTC Hero), they are all missing the first character of their email address (note: not the "name" that precedes them).

I can see the same emails on the Kerio server and ofcourse they are fine, so perhaps this is a Kerio/HTC Hero incompatibility? Is it mis-reading the '<' right before the email address?
