Installation

FASTBOOT USERS:

Download the recovery.img to your computer and open up terminal or command prompt and cd to the directory where the recovery.img is.

Example:
Windows
Code:
cd Downloads
Linux
Code:
cd ~/Downloads
Now that you are in the recovery.img's directory, boot into fastboot mode by powering off the device, from power off, plug in your usb, power on the device, as soon as it starts to boot, release the power button and hold volume up until in fastboot mode.

Now in terminal or command prompt, type:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Reboot
Code:
fastboot reboot
Once booted, go download this awesome app to make rebooting to recovery easy, HERE

FOR THOSE WITH A RESTORED LAF PARTITION:

Place the recovery.img in the root of your internal sd card.

Open up command prompt or terminal and type:
Code:
adb shell
Code:
su
Now it is time to overwrite your stock recovery with TWRP, type:
Code:
dd if=/sdcard/recovery.img of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/recovery
That's it, download this awesome app to reboot to recovery HERE

To boot to recovery power off device, power on the device, and wait until it gets to the dim LG logo and try to interrupt the long vibration by pressing volume down a few times, if done correctly, your phone will stop the first boot and start another one that boots you to recovery. Timing is key so it might take a few tries

MS323 USERS ONLY:

No need to replace our laf.img!!! Thanks to @DevMyAndroid (who shared this with me), he noticed that if you press power + vol down until you reach the lg logo, release, and then hold same buttons again it will bring up a factory reset screen. If you select "yes", it will take you straight into twrp. With NO data loss.

Theming

One of the wonderful features of TWRP is that you can totally theme it! There are links all over. My personal favorite and the one that I use is a material theme! Here's a look of TWRP with a theme:

You can even check out TWRP Theme Manager an app on Google Play Store. :)

Before you go and try to thank me.
ALL CREDIT GOES TO THE MAGICAL @vm03

vm03 totally told me to create and maintain a thread for his TWRP and I was glad to oblige. :) Thank you vm.

I was waiting for VM to put up this thread. Today I was going to message him if I could maintain it. Guess I'm too late. :p

Nice work VM. Long overdue TWRP.

Also Crutch: If people don't want to flash by going into fastboot or whatever since it's to much work. Add an easy guide part to the thread. I've heard people using Flashify and the recovery works.

Sorry mate.

I might have to do that - however I personally have not done so so I'd need to look into it.

Can you write a tutorial how to install twrp theme for those who are using slimlp and pac-rom lp and have installed internal disabler?
Unfortunately you can't. See TWRP is compiled with internal memory in mind so it behaves that way, as if rom has internal memory. Also, you might wanna set output for backups to be on external, for that matter, or else your phome space will be occupied for nothing.

There's nor reason for disabler not to work on d325 :)
I haven't tried installing themes on TWRP, I just assumed that it must be stored on internal (to which we don't have access from ROM), that's why I said what I said.

From what I see, you only have externalSD which means it's working.
Please share here how you installed TWRP theme with disabled internal for those who have problems with that.

I just found the way accidentally to install theme by entering TWRP and chose reload theme. Because i didn't have any theme before, when i chose reload theme it's show error message that gave me info the path where TWRP search for ui.zip. this is the path (for slimLP with internal disabler) /data/media/0/TWRP/theme/ui.zip, and i found the path actually located on the external SDcard, but TWRP couldn't find the folder if i just create it directly on the SDcard.

The successful trick is, i used es explorer to open the path step by step before creating the TWRP/theme folder, so on es explore i go to the device root folder (/), then go to data--media--0 and then create TWRP and theme folder inside the TWRP folder. If u select the theme folder and check properties, it'll show that the folder location is /data/media/0/TWRP/. Then just paste the ui.zip theme file inside the theme folder and try again to reload theme from TWRP to change the theme.

Sorry for bad english by the way...:D
