TL;DR Version: My stock, unrooted, untampered with G2 was dropped a short distance but worked fine for 2 days. Later, however it started boot looping progressively getting worse and worse. Now it won't boot at all and ends on a green screen that says,"Demigod Crash Handler : HW reset!" volume up for Dload mode and down for reboot. I'm unfamiliar with this screen or what i can do with it to maybe fix the phone? Do you think the 3 foot drop to the floor killed it?

Hi all.
I've had my G2 since October 2013. It has been the best phone I've ever owned. It was so good in fact, that it is the first phone I've ever had that made me think,"You know what? I probably won't even upgrade this time around. I'll just keep this one till I get tired of it." That is, until this past weekend. It took a short drop from my pocket to the tile floor friday, which other than the day i bought it was the only time i ever dropped it in 17 months but it worked fine after the fall and was great all day saturday as well. All of a sudden out of nowhere it locked up on me Sunday afternoon and I had to hold the power button down and restart it. About 5 or so minutes later it did the same thing. The phone also became fairly warm at this time. I thought maybe it was something to do with the site i was viewing so i went on to other things and it was ok for a while. Later in the day it started doing it again though. I'd be texting or checking facebook and out of nowhere it'd lock up and reboot. I even noticed it rebooting itself while sitting on the coffee table not in use. The rebooting process would take longer and longer each time. Sometimes it would successfully reboot, other times it would get to the at&t screen and start over again. Last night i decided not to recharge it because i was afraid it would do something stupid like catch itself on fire (I dunno I got paranoid haha) so I charged it this morning while i could keep an eye on it. Instead of showing a large recharging battery like it usually does when the battery is completely drained, it started to try to reboot again. After multiple failures it succeeded and i left it alone to charge.
Later when i took it off charge it got into these terrible boot loops that would end in a green screen that said: "Demigod Crash Handler : HW reset!" and it tells you to push volume up for Dload mode and down for reboot. Selecting reboot would end with the same screen after numerous failed boot loops. I tried removing the sim because i'd read a corrupt sim could cause boot loops but it didn't change anything. I then tried to do a factory reset but that just sent it back to the LG boot screen for more boot looping.
After doing lots of forum searches I wasn't able to find much about it but i decided to connect to my pc and see what pressing up on the "HW reset!" screen would do. Pressing up makes it say "Jump to Dload mode" but that's it and I'm not sure what to do after that. The pc recognizes it but only as "LG Android USB device" and if you click on properties it says it has no drivers installed. Now I have a similar green screen saying "Demigod Crash Handler : Apps Watchdog Bite!" with the exact same options that the "HW reset!" screen offered. And now, just a second ago while trying to get it to power off by holding the button down I got a flash of some sort of error message in white letters up in the left hand corner of the LG boot screen before it finally powered down. I didn't have time to read it before it shut off though.
I'm going to leave it alone now because I feel like it's getting worse the more I try to boot it. If anyone has any ideas I'd love to hear them. I'm at a loss here. I've never rooted or unlocked or otherwise tampered with this phone in any way because up until now it's been such a great piece of hardware. Sorry for the long post but i wanted to be as descriptive as possible. Thanks again for your time!
