I cannot get this to work on my GF's T-Mobile Galaxy Avant which I have rooted successfully over 2 months ago. Had busybox free installed initially, then some time ago, installed BusyBox on Rails and installed as it updated to a newer version of busybox. When I finish the "Download Files" for TWRP option, then select: "Make it Happen". there is just a quick flash on the screen. I go ahead and press the refresh looking icon which reboots the phone into stock recovery.

Any suggestions?

Tried the one you listed. I didn't realize there were so many different "BusyBox" installers.

This was the one I had first used: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=stericson.busybox

Then had used this one: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=me.timos.busyboxonrails

All installers indicate success regarding "BusyBox" install.

Yet problem persists.

Idk bud you're the 1st that has said this

Yea. I don't get it. I just got done completely removing "BusyBox" install via the first one "stericson". Then proceeded to "busybox on Rails" performed "Cleanup". Then removed both those installer/apps. Rebooted to stock recovery and cleared cache. Re-Ran via your suggested BusyBox Version by jrummy. Proceeded to try Avant Exploded app again to first download then press "Make it happen" which produces same quick blink of something, then the refresh at bottom which reboots phone back to stock recovery....

Super user is updated and super user disable knox? busy box called to run a simple command when you hit the make it happen. Idk why out of 37 people that installed this. you're the only one that it isn't work for. I guess you'll have to do it the Odin way

SuperSU Pro is installed. v2.46
I am not sure about the part "user disable knox"?

Should I not be having SuperSU on her phone and rather Super User for root?

I initially followed a guide either here or xda to root her phone I believe via Odin & the "Chainfire" method. Sorry not 100% now since I've been so busy tinkering with my main phone: Note 4.

Attached below is the picture of the completed "BusyBox" install via the app to use that you mentioned. I left everything default such as the /xbin directory, ect...

Please advise as/if you can of what I may have done wrong, lol... I am afraid to go the route of installing TWRP via odin because for some odd reason, I am getting an MD5 mismatch (see that thread where I posted) in regards to the prefered odin version linked in that thread.

Apparently when I originally rooted it I messed up but somehow got SUPERSU and root abilities.
I rechecked the threads in this forum. Realized the file I had used to Odin-Root her phone initially was titled: CF-Auto-Root.tar @ 26,271 KB.

Realizing the file should have been titled: CF-Auto-Root-afyonltetmo-afyonltetmo-smg386t.tar.md5 @ 27,941 KB. I just now found that appropriate file. Took a chance. Re-visited Odin & PDA flashed that to her phone whilst in DL mode. Crossed my fingers as it rebooted. It bumped SuperSU back to v2.45 from latest 2.46. Re-entered BusyBox App but didn't do anything as it said already installed. So I took the next leap with your APP here we've been discussing in OP. Downloaded TWRP then proceeded to next step to install. This time it took some time... Maybe a minute. Was a little nervous. Process completed and I hit the "Refresh/Reboot" symbol, her Avant went into reboot and immediately I felt relief as it now started showing similar to my Unlocked TWRP'd Note 4 and proceed to boot into TWRP recovery!!!

Many thanks! Whew... That was scary :D

I would use Oidin to flash the stock firmware then I got factory reset in the stock recovery and start all over fresh
