Root TWRP 2.8.1.0 afyonltetmo

I love this recovery but hate the orange. Is there anyway to get the blue back?
First off, it wouldn't be a bad idea to be a bit more polite. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt here but someone might see your post as being ungrateful. If I was the one who built this recovery I'd feel a bit insulted. Just saying.

As far as your question goes, you would need to decompile it, theme it, and then recompile it or find someone else who can/will do it.

There are also some cool themes for TWRP which you can find HERE. Its not the same as the original look of plain ol unmodified twrp but you may find something you like.

Thanks for your reply and now that I read it I do come off a little unappreciative. I meant no disrespect. I'm very grateful for the recovery, I would just like the blue back thats all. I am using holofied but even with that after setting all the colors to blue that go right back to the orange.
It would be great if someone can compile a blue version but I can live with the orange if need be.
Thanks again for your reply and for the dev who compiled this. I know he doesn't even own this device.

I am a little confused. I have my gf's T-Mobile Galaxy Avant rooted. I would like to install TWRP custom recovery on it. I googled and found this thread but am first uncertain if this works with said phone?

Also, when I download via post #2 http://shabbypenguin.com/?developer=OUDHS-Recovery&folder=afyonltetmo as indicated to get TWRP v2.8.1.0 as desired, the MD5 sum is a mismatch both attempts.

I get: EC10DBC624DC6F97C33F135EAC3B9C65

The DL page indicates: aecfa73caa3b5f19ba6610587fe181e7

Can anyone help clear this up or if I am not getting the correct file per phone model.... ??

Thanks

If you have the avant rooted, you could use this app ( http://androidforums.com/index.php?threads/915424/) to flash either cwm, twrp or back to stock! Much easier to do than with Odin I feel.

Thanks. I am not sure what the issue is with her phone. I have had it successfully rooted. BusyBox says it's installed. I even uninstalled BusyBox and re-installed as the above noted thread says that could be issue when what keeps happening is happening.

I press download and wait within the "Avant Exploded" App. Then the next button to Apply/Install. Hit the refresh which reboots the phone to STOCK recovery now with Red at top message:

I wonder will there be future updates of twrp for the Avant that would have the efs backup options? I don't trust third party apps on the play store claiming that it will backup your efs when rooted. That was one of the features twrp has on other samsung phones. I know this is nit-picking somewhat, but at least i can trust it lol.

Look on xda for flashfire. It's a beta program by chainfire. It has full backup function for all partitions, but I think you have to flash protected partitions from Odin. This is the successor to mobile Odin, in beta so still buggy. But I'm testing now and I think you can still get in on the beta if you read the op of the XDA flashfire thread.

Backing up and restoring efs is very tricky business. If it isn't backed up and restored a certain specific way it will mess your phone up in so many ways. The proper way to restore efs is through recovery or Odin. Attempting to restore efs while booted in android runs a high risk of corrupting the partitions. My advise is to backup efs with a tool for pc that pulls the partitions and makes them into a tar that you can flash with odin. Once you have made your efs backups do not I repeat do not attempt to restore them unless your efs gets messed up. If your efs gets messed up what will happen is that you will lose voice and data signal and the phone will not turn off unless you pull the battery. You will see a circle with a line through it in the status bar instead of signal indicators. Also when you try to go into settings/about phone/status it Will crash and in settings/about phone baseband will say unknown.

If anyone wants to further discuss efs backup and restore a new thread will need to be created.

Lol. You know, i remember seeing a strange symbol like that when i had the galaxy exhibit (at that time didn't know what it was). I treated that phone as if it was a toy lol. Would flash all these custom roms like no tomorrow because that phone has many devs workin on it. Ultimately, i ended up going back to stock but could not get rid of that symbol. Nothing would work, not even wifi. Even after resroring system only. (But i did backed up efs which i didnt know what it is and was only because it was a box to check basically lol) so out frustration, booted into recovery again and checked everything to restore this time. boot, system, and efs. And what do i see. A working network again lol. Now i won't dare to flash anything custom until i back this up lol.

i thought this was weird...so i followed a couple other guides to try and get into twrp just because the avant exploder app and going the odin way didn't seem to work so i went and tried downloading PlayfulGod's rebooter app off the playstore...i clicked reboot to recovery from the app and well...it booted up just fine for me...weird how i saw no signs of recovery being successfully installed even using the key combo didnt work...oh well..idk if anyone had this issue or whatever but if anyone could guide me to getting the key combo (up + power button) to work it/tell me where i went wrong-- would be greatly appreciated...it would suck if i bootlooped and couldn't enter recovery...

The key combo is home vol+ and power :p then you'll see a heading saying "kernel warrent: recovery" or something like that
