Thanks do you all think its worth it to get a smart watch at this point or wait till the next set comes out?
My opinion? I think that the LG Watch Urbane looks great right now. Everything else I think is not worth buying unless you really are desperate to have something now or don't want to pay that much. It just seems to me that we should be seeing some great upgrades this year, probably as early as this summer, from Motorola, perhaps LG, maybe Sony, and from Samsung (though who knows how many of theirs will be Android Wear rather than Samsung proprietary?)

I had a Pebble watch that crapped out after a while, which seems to be a common problem for them. It gave me enough of a taste of using a smartwatch for discrete, though distinct, notifications (particularly while driving) and important info at a glance (time, of course, weather, battery % left on the phone) is great. I just think that the Android Wear hardware that came out last year could be better.

[edit]By the way, I'm not saying that anybody with these watches made a poor decision. Not in the least. However, based on the date now and knowing that the Moto 360 came out about 8 months ago, I'd think that it might be smarter to wait rather than buy now. Although that $180 price - maybe that's worth the older hardware? Only you can decide for yourself...
