Features:
TWRP version 2.8.7.0
Disabled screen timeout since it causes issues on this device
Boot into recovery from power off without wiping data (see this for instructions)


Choose an install option below:

Install IMG with flashify:

1. Make sure your phone is rooted.
2. Download w5c_twrp_2870.img
3. Install and run Flashify.
4. Make sure you hit “Allow” when Superuser request window pops up when opening the Flashify app.
5. Choose “Recovery image” for recovery images.
6. Choose the file you want to install by selecting “Choose a file”.
7. Choose one of your file explorer apps. If you don’t see any, download and install ES File Explorer
8. Browse your storage and choose the IMG file you downloaded earlier.
9. Choose “Yup”.
10. Enjoy!

Install flashable (only if you already have a custom recovery):

1. Download w5c_twrp_2870.zip to phone.
2. Reboot into current custom recovery.
3. Flash zip.
4. Reboot recovery.
5. Enjoy!

It is a newer version of TWRP built on cm12 sources
It has the screen timeout completely disabled

I can't assure you that either of them work for anything since I don't own this device. If this one has any problems doing what is intended, I can fix it since it is built from source.

Hold the power button + volume down button until the LG image appears. Once it does let go of the buttons then immediately push and hold them again until recovery boots.
NOTE: The method above will arrive at the "hard reset" area, but when choosing hard reset, it will take you to TWRP (without actually resetting).

On a side note if u do this any other recovery besides TWRP v2 it will factory reset!!!

yes only reason i recommended cwm b4 was u couldnt access recovery if things went wrong

With regards to your question, mine is still bricked beyond repair. Unfortunately, this version of twrp came out a little too late, and it might have been a different story.

Yeah well we had a few issues with things
