Verizon sold out?

went to Verizon store today in person to pick up the Incredible, the rep told me Verizon was sold out of the Incredible. All store locations. I called around town, and sure enough, they all said the same thing, they were sold out and I had to order online or call, and they would ship it to me directly.

However I asked if I had a problem if I could return it to the store, and they said no I had to mail it in. So, still no Incredible as of today.

A coworker of mine ordered one online yesterday and he got a FedEx shipping notification for the phone today. Not sure if it means they really have them or he got a bogus e-mail.

ordered 5/6 online at around noon...scheduled for delivery around 3 pm 5/7...website says "ship by 5/14"...gotta love the Big Red Hype Machine...had to make me sweat it out for 3 hours while I waited for my confirmation email...all will be forgiven by 3pm today...

I tried Costco, but not Best Buy. I will give them a shot tomorrow as my last hope for getting this phone before the weekend

I would get it from bestbuy they will match your NE2 and exchanges are extremely easy.

the best buy mobile near me didn't match my ne2, so i got the instant rebate, and then called verizon and had them apply my ne2 to my account as a credit ;-)

The online Verizon store is definitely shipping - I ordered Tuesday and am supposed to receive it today.

They said the same thing to me. One guy said he will give me one but I have to buy 5 accessories..I think he was lying.so I was like hell no. So i went to my local store and they told me to pick it up in 3 days .so I did .

I ordered online. My first one had a screen malfunction that wouldn't wake. I called to have an exchange sent and they advised me to go to my brick and mortor. They exhchanged it no problems. This was launch day so may have changed policy

Called all the stores around me today and they said they were all sold out of Incredibles and may get some more in next week; Decided to just go online: ordered it via Verizon's website at 11am ET today. FedEx picked it up from the Verizon warehouse at 12:40pm ET today and it arrived at the FedEx location in Memphis at 1:38pm. And all that with the website saying orders will ship by 5/21 (hmmmm... 2 weeks vs 2 hours). Sweet deal!

I did the same thing just 20 min ago, I live in the metro Detroit area, and I called 13 COPORATE STORES!! None of them had it and said they wouldn't be shipping till the 19th at least, so i called customer service to try my luck there. No dice. So...if even customer service from VZW told me that they won't be getting them until the 19th, I have to wait at LEAST two more weeks until I get one. This BLOWS because my NE2 finally kicked in today. I really want to believe everyone who ordered online regardless and got lucky with it shipping soon, but I really don't want to wait two weeks as I know I have bad luck with these things. I'm considering going into BB and forfeiting my NE2, but I would feel robbed because I was going to order on 4/19, but was advised to wait until today by VZW so I can get my discount. I'm sick of waiting and might just try my luck elsewhere. Anyone have any suggestions? Should I order online anyways and cross my fingers?

I bought the best buy insurance covers everything water damage, dropping, freezing, blending, whatever no questions asked exchange.

go to Best Buy!!!!! If you go before 5 they are not very busy.

yeah, too bad i don't get out of work until 5, and it's a friday evening lol. I'll try anyways and hope for some luck, it just sucks that vzw is all out, i waited the extra time for nothing, and im NOT waiting two more weeks, too bad BB doesn't match the NE2 pricing.

Just wait or get a different phone. Those are your only options. Evidentially the ne2 discount was worth waiting in the first place, so why not keep on waiting until they come in? It sucks but some of us knew how popular this phone was going to be and preordered so we'd be gauranteed to be the first in line to get ours. People laughed when i said thousands were waiting for the nexus one and were going to leap over to the incredible after the news was released that n1 is not coming to verizon anytime soon. There are entire forums full of people waiting. I seen a thread go from 1000 views to over 250,000 views in just a couple of days on march 25th when most thought it was coming out. Of course lot of it was people were refreshing the thread, but still that tells me that alot of folks were waiting.

Mine did. They even honored the online coupon of $30 off, so I got mine for $170. And they threw in the 2gb card for free. But I had printed off the coupon (must be prepared).

the reason I kinda have a problem waiting even longer than I have been is because I was told by verizon to wait initially because my ne2 wouldn't start until today. I was ready on 4/19 to preorder, but decided to wait three more weeks, as I didn't believe this phone would be as popular as it is now because the phone didn't have as large a marketing campaign as the moto DROID, so I figured "heck, i'll wait no biggie" but then this happens and now I feel as if I knew it would happen and wonder why I really waited in the first place. I guess I'm just feeling impatient, but I know a lot of people share my sentiment when I've been waiting for this phone to come out for so long.
