Help Gxy S6 Not able to get Mobile Data toggle button back on the Notification Panel

Until last night, I had a toggle button for turning on/off Mobile Data in the Notification Panel/Quick Settings panel. This morning, however, it has disappeared. I updated Android to version 5.0.2 more than 10 days back and the button was accessible all this while but not since this morning. I cannot find it on the notification panel extended list either. Is there any way to bring the toggle button back? I use it all the time!

Hi,
The button disappeared this morning from the notification panel. I went to Optus shop and I found all the S6 display mobiles are having the same problem. Whenever it is not there, the version is 5.0.2. Earlier versions still have the toggle!

I cannot find the notification panel settings at all anymore! It isn't under the Display settings. Did they just forget to put it in with the new version!???

I am also having the same problem... I tried from the settings ... the option has been removed I guess.... for now using alternative widget... hope they fix it soon!!!!

#How to Customize Samsung Galaxy S6 Notification Bar:
1.Turn on the Galaxy S6 or Galaxy S6 Edge.
2.Pull down the notification bar and select the top right squares icon to access “Quick Settings” or pull down from the top of the screen with two fingers.
3.Select on the “Pencil” at the top of the display.
4.Depending on your wireless carrier, you’ll go to the Notification Panel edit settings location.
5.Here you can remove the brightness adjustment slider from the bar, and set all the quick settings buttons that you want to customize.
6.Just press and hold any toggle you want to remove and after it’s highlighted you can drag and drop it anywhere you’d like.

I tried doing it... but i am not getting any pencil like symbol at all! !!

Maybe bad update conflicts.. I'd try by first clearing cache partition in recovery and if that fails, the dreaded factory reset (make sure the edit quick settings option should definitely be there first though)

You could be waiting a while for that mate. Why not install a data toggle widget instead?

This is the first thing I tried 'coz that's how I put the Mobile Data toggle button there when I first bought the phone. But its simply gone from there now. The option for Mobile Data is just not available anymore. I've checked the entire settings list and can't find any other way to access the notification panel modification options.

Yes...IN my device also that Mobile data icon not visible..Couple of days back i updated to Lollipop(5.1)..Seems to be this is the issue..
My device is Moto E(5.1)..
What about your Mobile and Os Version.

I also faced the same issue for couple of days..Then i restarted the device then also it didn't workout for me.

But after one day(now) it is working fine for me..

I went to S6 Service Centre... i gave my s6 edge to them after a while there is an aplication in my screen as "Restore QuickPanel Icons". Running that aplication will fix the mobile data icon missing problem fixed. Hope will help. Cerio...

For verizon S6 users. Go to settings ....then data usage. At the top there will be a way to turn mobile data on/off. But still haven't figured out how to get the toggle button back yet! This way is working for me for now! Hope this helps.
