Root Flash to stock before returning phone?

My Droid has some touchscreen problems and I just received a replacement. I have to ship the broken phone back to Verizon. I currently am running Cyanogenmod and a bekit kernel. Do I need to flash this back to stock before returning it? It's pretty easy to flash back to 2.0.1 unrooted using ROM Manager, but do I need to flash the original recovery utility? I have Clockwork recovery flashed to it right now. Is there a quick way to restore the original? do I even need to?

Hmm...the installation of the stock ROM using ROM Manager failed. :( It wiped my phone, so I'm having to start all over with configuring it, but it still has the Cyanogenmod flash. I wonder if I need to do something different to revert back to stock.

just sbf its the easiest. Now you can live without fear of bricking sticky at the top of the forum
