Help Can I make Free Call with my Incredible..

Using my GV Number and a Gizmo5 account?

I heard Google bought Gizmo5 and i dont know if still works?

No. It comes off of your minutes.

You are paying for you minutes. It's not free.

But if you add your GV number, and the outgoing GV number to your friends and family list, then it will come off of your unlimited Friends and Family package.

+1 adding your GV# to F&F is key.

There were also reports about google testing VoIP calls earlier. People are hoping google (having acquired Gizmo5) will offer free voice calls to outdo Skype, and make its money off of cheap international fees.

If that's the case, hopefully future GV dialers can call for free!

I don't have gizmo5, but I have a Sipgate account, along with Sipsorcery to tie it all (Google Voice) together. All are free. This combination uses data only, no voice, and you also must use a SIP phone (such as SipDroid) to operate it. I just started working with it, and the voice quality is currently sub-par to me. Some are having success though. You can look this combination up on the Google Voice Help page I believe.

I'm using the same setup (except with Fring instead of SipDroid) and it works quite well. My phone is shut off but my data isn't, so this has been a life saver. Follow the instructions on this site:
