Verizon Wireless.

I have Sprint here in western mass, and I can only make calls when my phone decides to roam with Verizon.

It's annoying as hell to have to go to the bathroom to get service. It's also annoying to have all my non-roaming calls dropped.

My BBCurve went from 2-3 days of battery life to about 12 hours, constantly looking for 1x.

Same reason I stuck with my dumbphone over an iPhone the last few years. The network. There is no phone I'd leave Verizon for so long as Verizon continues to release competitive phones as it has been.

Then, while people say the 4.3" screen is an advantage, I consider it a disadvantage. There comes a point where a phone is just too big. I like my phone to fit into my pocket easily, be comfortable to hold on long conversations, etc. The EVO is bordering the size of some touchscreen netbooks, and it's not for me.

Battery life I assume will be worse, but this is yet to be known.

The front facing camera is only useful once most other people have the same. For the distant future, that will not be the case.

720p recording is useless to me.

Price = unknown.

I have no doubt the EVO 4G will be a great phone, but the Incredible fits all my needs perfectly and is still on the network that provides the best service.

Evo obviously has better specs so if the phone isnt to big and you havnt had any issues with Sprint I would ge the EVO.

I really really want the EVO but not worth changing networks for as the incredible does everthing i want.

You realize your in the Di thread so there is going to be a lot of DI fan boys in here.

I would be curios what the results diffrence would be if you has one in the Evo thread and one in the Di forum

Like the HD2 I think the EVO will be a little too big for me. Everything else looked pretty good spec wise. I wonder why they stuck with the TFT screen? All the higher end phones are going with newer technology.

don't know, but i really don't care for how colorful my screen is or how bright it is, so really doesn't matter to me

HTC EVO 4G
4.3" TFT screen
8mp back cam/1.3 mp front cam
Record and Watch 720p videos
Sprint WiMax 4G (Where Available)
Mobile Hotsot
HDMI-Out
Kickstand

HTC DROID Incredible
3.7" AMOLED screen
8mp back cam
8 gb intenal memory

(Didn't add anything they both have)

So why the DROID Incredible?
I have to say the incredible for sure. Verizons network is so superior to sprints networks It's not funny. I have tried all the major carriers and Verizon is the best.

okay well say both phones were unlocked... and just comparing the phones which one is better?

I was just gonna say you should say if the network is a factor or not. Obviosly you will still get some biased results.

It would come down to personal preferance on if the Evo is to big for your liking.

i wish the Di had a kickstand. it seems liks a dumb gimmick but i had it on my imagio and loved it.

Cause the EVO is huge. I'll sacrafice the other things to have a phone that doesn't feel awkward to hold. I debated waiting on getting the Incredible until the EVO so I could compare the 2, but I went to T-Mobile to test out the size of the HD2 and it was too big for my taste. I will admit it has awesome features. It's ridiculous to me when I have to make accommodations for my phone. The EVO seemed to be just a little smaller than my Archos 5. So I'm happy with decision, plus with my traveling it's good to have a phone that is on Verizons network.

Plus I don't think Sprint has really developed even their 3G network and now they are rolling out 4G using a technology that nobody else is using and at such a high frequency you will only be able to use it outside. Even Clearwire confirmed today they are going to start moving toward LTE instead of WiMax. That pretty much makes Sprint the only carrier of WiMax.

if you live in a very good sprint coverage zone (like me) sprint is amazing compared to the others (and ive had them all) and the 4G is the best phone experience ever and you can't really diss it until you try it

and price wise, Sprint is the best, no doubt.

We don't know what the monthly plans for the EVO 4G will run. It will definitely not be the current $69.99 as it is now.

And you might live in Sprint's only area of good service, but that doesn't help the other 300 million Americans.

I don't really think the Evo will be too big. It will be almost as thin as our phone and some one said it is about the size of the Motorola Q9 in width, that wouldn't be awkward to me. It just comes down to carrier for me, so I chose Verizon. If I could get the Evo on Verizon I would. but i am happy with my awesome incredible.

Could care less about the Evo.. Why you ask?

1. It wastes space on a kickstand (I laugh every time I think of that).
2. It's too wide and bulky.
3. It's on Sprint.
4. It's running on WiMax, not 4g.. It is in the preliminary stages so it will be very spotty for users on top of killing battery faster.

It will also toggle between WiMax and 3g when WiMax unavailable further draining battery life.
5. It's on Sprint.
6. It would look like I have a laptop in my pocket.
