Accessories recommendation for an sd card?

Class 6 SD cards for a mobile phone are overkill. The class indicates minimum WRITE speeds. You don't need the higher write speed to listen to music or watch a video. It will take a little longer to write your files to a class 2 card initially, but once they are there you won't notice a difference between a Class 2 and Class 6 in everyday use in your phone.

For my money, I'd get a bigger 16 GB Class 2 card.

If I gave someone an Incredible with a Class 2 and an Incredible with a class 6 card, both loaded up with music and videos and files, I guarantee they wouldn't be able to tell which is which in everyday use. ;)

16gb class 2 costs nearly twice as much, and you only save 2-3 bucks getting a class 2 8gb. So while you might be right, get the 8gb class 6 and be done. No point in spending hours researching it -- they pretty much all work great.

I just don't want people to think that they have to get a Class 6 card because a Class 2 won't be sufficient. People should focus their decision on the capacity, price, and manufacturer, not the class of the card which won't make any difference in everyday use.

16 GB Class 2 by San Disk = $36

8 GB Class 6 by Transcend = $20

Twice as much, yes, but also 2x the capacity.

By comparison, a 16 GB Class Class 6 runs about $60.

So yes, if you want 8 GB go for the Class 6. If you want more capacity, a 16GB Class 2 is the way to go.

Minimum write speed as designated by the class does equal actual or maximum write speed nor does it imply read speeds. Just putting this out there:
13 SDHC Memory Cards Reviewed : SD Memory Cards for Professionals

From the conclusion:
"However, read performance isn’t the issue: we found substantial performance differences of up to 100% in the write throughput benchmarks, where the cards delivered between 9 and 18.6 MB/s. And the speed classification didn’t help much, as some Class 4 cards delivered better write performance than some Class 6 products."
