Custom Lock Screen

Hey everyone, I'm looking to find out if there are any custom lock screens I can flash. I don't like lockbot, as it bogs my phone on occasion. I've seen a few clear lock screens I haven't been interested in. I'm looking for a lock screen like eclair, or one of those that you slide left and right. Anyone know if 1) you can flash custom lock screens and 2) if so do you know where I can get one like what I described? Thanks!

I am assuming that you are rooted, which ROM are you running? And are you just looking to change the the look of the Hero Lock Screen - if so check out this thread - How to Create Custom Lock Screens

Or are you attempting to change the Vanilla Lock Screen on the 2.1 Roms?

Yes, I am rooted. I'm just looking for the lockscreen that has the lock on one side which you can slide the other way to unlock, and the sound on the other which you can slide the opposite way.

I should also mention I'm running 2.1. That write up is for 1.5. thanks for the link though.

Yup, it is for 1.5 (the tutorial that is) but is still relevant to 2.1. The main difference is a few files and how the folders are organized. Hopefully I'll have some free time to update tutorial.

For now though, I believe this is what you are looking for:

Thanks! What alarm issues are talked about after the options for flashing? I don't have any custom lockscreens installed, and am just running damagecontrol 2.07

Love it! This looks great! That, and my alarm works just fine as well... I just can't turn it off!

This is the issue people have with the vanilla lock screen. If you want the ability to turn off the alarm from the vanilla lockscreen you have to install the vanilla android clock. Then any alarms you have in the htc clock, disable them. Re-create those alarms in the vanilla clock application and then you will be able to turn off the alarms.

Edit:
Here is the thread for modifications to 2.1
