Root BankerMOD 5.1.1 Kernel

OK I'm must have missed something because after flashing the kernel I no longer have r/w. Someone stated that I don't need new swither zips, so how do I use the new kernel and keep r/w. Thanks in advance for any help.
what rom are you using
use thats roms zips. but i think someone had said if u want to revert back to old kernel to boot the img file from the rom . if im not correct , could be wrong,

No I've found that it's not necessary. I have Synthetic-Kernel running and that can't be made into a boot. IMG it makes things bad so I just used a normal switcher and it works fine

I made my R/W switcher zips this way. I flashed this kernel via Trwp. then once booted up i backed up kernel with Rashr apk...depending on your rom..im on cm12.1...i used cm12's switcher zips as base.....un-zip and deleted both boot img's from your switcher zips..then copy your new kernel img from the Rashr apk "Kernel-Backup's folder" into your un-zipped switcher zips...imporant...RENAME THE BACKED UP KERNEL to......"boot.img" (without quotes)..then re-zip both zips..re-sign the zips..Bam..R/W access with this kernel...
I'm on CM12.1 also, i just need to clarify-

Are you saying that the switchers will no longer be needed after completing the steps you listed?

Any and all input is greatly appreciated

I've never had to do more than compress files for storage in my adventures in android-land, so when you say 'rezip', i wonder if that's completely different from compressing, what the settings might be, etc? Been rooting phones since 2009(?) With the htc thunderbolt, and I've never had to figure this... Sorry for such a noob question...

ok guysa new version with OC and UC is out. yo need to read the op where i added a paart about the switchers. you can either do what i said there or after you flash the old switchers you need to reflash the kernel
I can't seem to find any kernel with OC, i already tried Synthetic with switcher zips and BakerMOD v3 an they are not overclocked
