Sprint or Google Navigation

Will the EVO come with the same Google Navigation as the Nexus One or just the Sprint Nav app? Anyone have any comparisons of the two? Thanks!

google navigation is free for all android 1.6 and higher.

Sprint navigation is free for all everything plan users.

Google is better, because it ties to more information with google and online searches. it has satilite maps and street view.

sprint has better traffic rerouting features.

both require online connection to work.

I prefer Google

I'm currently a BB person - this is comment is scary. Usually - I'm used to hearing "No Alternate Route Available". . . .

I don't use my phone for nav since my car has a dedicated unit built into the dash, but if I were to use one I'd hold off until TomTom releases their navigation for Android which is on the way. I really hate nav apps that use your data connection to download maps.

Can I ask what Tapatalk is? Is it like Vlingo that my friend has on his BB? Isn't the EVBO suppose to come with a Speech to Text and have the mic on the keyboard? Just Curious cause coming from the Touch Pro 2 I am worried of using the onscreen keyboard but it's big and I am hoping to get used to it..

Tapatalk is an app in market to help you use online forums... there are a lot of them online.
It speeds up refresh times and easier for mobile use.

The HTC visual keyboard is very good. It has a lot if benefits. Mine also has the text to speak on the kb and can be used in any situation

Can't you turn off the signature that it adds? On my Pre, one of the first thigns I do is turn off "Sent from my Palm Pre" just because nobody cares and I don't advertise for free

As fas as nav, I haven't tried the Google one on newer versions of Android. Looks pretty nice to me. On my other phones I tend to just use Google maps for simply looking up directions but on the rare occasions when I need turn by turn I would use Tomtom on my old WM phones and Sprint's branded Telenav on my Pre. Having text to speech makes a hude difference because they read out the names of the streets.
