I am posting this in hopes to get SuperR's help. I have seen what you can do and I think that you may be able to help me.

Lets begin...

Last week, after a very long time of not updating my to 4.4.2, I decided to update. I was at stock B07 when I made the jump. Immediately upon reboot, my home button would not work, nor was I able to hang up my calls. I had no access to the dialer period. I had to remove my battery in order to end the call. This was no good.

I had never rooted a phone before, and I was really looking to simply downgrade my system. Though possible, sources said that it would be best to probably just try using a custom rom. So I spent the next 14 hours learning as much as possible about rooting the N9510 ZTE Warp 4g. I love my phone, have had it since it's release and didn't want to get a new phone. I have a sponge mind, so I thought, how hard could this be? Well, turns out, it was not easy at all. Well, it was, but not by any way anyone had said on any of the forums. Before I went and factory restored my phone, I had tried everyway possible to root. Also, earlier that day, I went to clear the cache, but I thought it was frozen doing so, so I removed the battery. This caused a major error, and I could no longer access anything beyond the splash screen. I think this is called boot loop? Or maybe "soft brick"?

Philz wouldn't work, adb sideload wouldn't work (it is actually a recovery option within the stock CWM), I couldn't get to a custom CWM because before my phone went stupid, I did not enable USB Debugging. And I couldn't get any roms or recovery to install from stock recovery because "Signature Verification" was enabled. Just kept getting "improper footer, unverified signature" I finally had no other choice. I factory data restored. The problem still persisted though because it was an incapability issue with 4.4.2.

I tried everything to root this sucker, nothing would work. So, just when I thought my luck had run out, I found MobileGo. One click root. Somehow it found my device and connected. I rooted, then learned more about cwm. I downloaded flashify, made a backup image and flashed to Philz I believe. Turned off "signature verification", moved my B07 Stock Rom to my SDCard, and installed the rom via stock CWM. Low and behold, it worked! I had superuser access and I was ready to see what I could do. I started downloading all kinds of root access apps. I wanted to tinker. I am very much so a noob at this, and I did too much to quickly. I messed my phone up again. No worries right? I had USB Debugging active, and I could flashify directly to Philz. I may be mistaken about that. It might be TWRP. Either way, I could very easily flash a new rom. Unfortunately, just prior to this, I removed ADB and the drivers of my phone from my laptop, the last known working setup to which I could do all of this.

Upon attempting to flash the B12 deodexed and bloatware removed rom, I accidently flashed "recovery.img". I didn't think this would be such a huge problem. It is.

I no longer get to the splash screen. Only the Android screen. When using ADB, my device is "unauthorized" until I enter "install via adb sideload", then all of the roms do not work, because apparently "signature verification" is on again. When I factory data reset, it resets to the recovery.img that I flashed, so I have zero access to the OS. My device isn't found on the linux recovery (Philz??) (In which I am using VMware to access the Linux OS. Much easier than burning the ISO or making a bootable USB via Rufus. 30 day free trial:)). Simply put, I. Am. Stuck.

So here is my question: Is there a signed custom CWM that I can upload in order to turn off signature verification? This seems to be the most important problem. If I can solve this, everything can be fixed. Also, is there an OEM version of the B07 Stock that I can download from somewhere? This would obviously have a verified signature.

BTW, this post isn't specifically for SuperR. Bcrichster, DevilsChild26, Phenomx4 or any other developer that can help me with a work around, I would be thankful to.

If nothing else, can someone create a stock .img for me? I don't want to get a new phone, really. If this cant be conquered by tomorrow, I am going to get a Note Edge. Or maybe an S5. But I really don't want to:(. Please guys, give me something to hope for.

Thanks guys. I look forward to hearing from you.

-Joe

P.S. Oh, I forgot, is fastboot a viable option? Power+Volume Down gets to Stock Recovery, holding Power+both Volumes and the camera get me to a black screen with the red notification light. I can't remember what this is called, and I've only once gotten to FTM, but didn't understand what to do in that mode. Sorry if my understanding isn't showing. It's been a long day playing with all of this. Below is a list of all the downloads I have downloaded relating to fixing my problem.

I'm recommending Philz for stock based roms as our TWRP doesn't work well w/ non CM ROMs right now. Download this flashable for Philz recovery.
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347793063
Make sure that both the desired ROM and Philz flashable is on external SD. Flash in either Philz or TWRP - NOT Stock recovery. That'll set the recovery in correct place to flash desired ROM. Reboot to recovery and do a full data/factory reset wipe ("clean to install a new ROM") before installing a ROM. The wipe may take several minutes to complete with Philz, so don't freak out & pull the battery.
If you want a fully functional KK ROM, I recommend my JollyRoger4G ROM. https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347770655
You can't get a faster/more tricked out Stock KK ROM that's 100% functional for the Warp4G (already has Xposed framework installed)
Otherwise, the B12 stock unmodified or deodexed may be what you want..

Thanks bcrichster. I'll try this now. I'm going to try sideload first, because I don't have the SD card for microsd at my disposal, so that I can transfer the file from pc to microsd. If it doesn't work, I'll go pick up the adapter.

I really enjoy the stock OS (4.1) and would like to stay with it. I know that there is improved functionality with 4.4, but when I had access to it after the update, I really wasn't all that impressed. Any suggestions on a custom 4.1? Also, haven't checked out 5.0. Is the current ROM decent w/ full functionality? Links to the above mentioned ROMs would be great.

Thank you again.

**edit** I'll try JollyRoger. I didn't notice the "You can't get a more tricked out" part of your post.:)

I'm not coming from anything. There is no OS on my phone that I know of.

I tried adb sideloading, but received the same footer error. How can I push this to sd without the adapter, from stock recovery via adb?
Stock recovery won't let you do anything useful except clear caches.. Might be time to get that adapter
And yes, still flash that partition updater - IMPORTANT - seriously.

If he flashes recovery.zip I linked him, he'll be able to reboot recovery & flash an updated ROM.
Problem: needs adapter to transfer files to SD card. SuperR & I already made stock ROMs.
I read it as if he has no OS to boot and is stuck on stock recovery and needs a signed zip to flash to get back the Os.

Alright, just got the microsd adapter. Lol, bought the stupid mini adapter on accident first:/ I'm about to do the partitioning and move the ROM and Philz to the SD card. Phenom, if all else fails, making a signed image would be my last hope. Thanks guys, and I'll let you know as soon as I am done, either way.

Great, so now the windows isn't discovering the SD card. sigh... more work. It's showing up in devices, but its showing nothing within the storage itself. And its full almost at 16gb. I ran a bootable ISO and installed a torrented AIO Windows Ultimate, that seemed to have all the drivers within it. Every step of this game has been a headache, but I have learned an ungodly amount in such a short period. Next step is to learn to code like you guys;) Back to work I go.

Yes devilschild, I should have. I don't know why I decided against it. The whole problem was simply getting ROMs and Recoveries on the SD card. I guess I was just being lazy, but at the same time, looking for a way to do this process without getting the adapter, just to see if it could be done. Believe you me, I spent a solid 30 hours doing this myself before asking any question. If I would have only reinstalled B_07 instead of that recovery, I would have been perfectly fine.

Ur going to need a PC fast boot a ROM

Dam that wasn't too bright

It had nothing to do with being bright. I clicked on the wrong file in CWM, and it loaded a file from which there was no return. And fastboot doesn't work within 4.4.2 on this phone. It doesn't work period when there is no OS at all, as well.

Questions bcrichster:

1. Alright, I am moving all of my files from the SD card so as to partition it. I've got a guide for it. From what I understand, FAT32 only allows for up to a 4gb file to be loaded at a time. Should I do this or NTFS?

2.Also, I am probably going to set up Dual Booting, so that I can switch between different OS's. So I will basically have 3 partitions on my 16gb card. I will be using Link2sd and be moving most of my apps to the sd card. Is it possible to move the entire system to the sd card and boot from it? I know that the sd card is accessed later after initial boot, but I am wondering if no system is found (or only sd permissions) will this load?
