I ordered a s-case view or whatever it's called with the phone. I'll use that until my Spigen shows up. I'm trying the Neo Hybrid again. Though I was VERY disappointed with them on my Nexus 6. The buttons broke in less than a month, but with my Note 3 they lasted a year+.
So I may have just gotten one from a bad batch. If this one doesn't hold up, I'll try something else.
At the risk of being THAT GUY............................
If you're gonna put a case on this phone, especially this phone, why not get the Note4 that actually has more features, costs less & surely will get updated to get the new S-Pen functions?

Just going off the assumption that one of the appealing aspects of the NOTE5 vs the NOTE4 is the different look & feel.
Most,if not all of that would be lost (covered up) w/a case.
Otherwise, you're actually losing features by moving "up" to the Note5 (no SD Card slot,no removable battery,no I-R Blaster).
Thats so true... I just hear most of the people say how slippery it is now and I am the person thats so afraid of dropping and messing up my phone... lol I case it up as soon as I get it! Drives my husband crazy!!
If I were to get this phone, the only case I'd consider is a bumper-only/backless case, similar to this:
I'll admit it,the NOTE5 is a great looking phone,enough so that's it's tempting to pick one up.
For myself,I can't see putting much more than this on it.
Perhaps it'd be enough to keep a firm grip/prevent dropping as well...............
I prefer a case with a kickstand and holster. BestBuy's Platinum Series case has been great for my last 2 phones so I'm hoping they roll one out for the Note 5. Verizon sells a similar case but it looks & feels very cheap. imho
My prior cell phone was a Samsung Galaxy S3 (did not like that much) and I created my own deep purple and white case using two Otterbox Defender cases to get my color combination that I wanted. My new Samsung Galaxy S6 is now proudly protected using the Otterbox Commuter Case that is in a periwinkle/purple case that I am using a tempered glass screen. The purple is not as pretty but the case is protected and not so thick and protects my white slippery phone.
I am knew here so I am trying to figure out what picture I should use for people to recognize me as I was given this generic avatar.
