Eligible for NE2 - where to get the Droid?

I have always purchased my phones from a VZ store. My wife is actually eligible for her NE2 upgrade and she wants the Droid. She is entitled to $50 off. VZ has the Droid listed at $200 which would be $150 out the door....a little more than I would like to spend. Can I get the Droid anywhere cheaper? Is there any advantage of getting the Droid at a VZ store vs online or Best Buy??? If I buy online or at Best Buy will a VZ store still transfer her phone book from her current phone to the new Droid? Thanks

Ok...I was just looking at Wirefly and it was listed at $20. I would rather pay the extra $10 and buy at Walmart because I can return directly to the store if something happens. However, will Walmart allow me to renew my contract? I want to buy this phone and a week or so after combine the Moto Droid with my Droid Incredible onto a VZ family plan. The guy at the VZ store told me to buy both phones at VZ and wait a week and then make the two into a family plan. But I never mentioned to him that I may buy from somewhere else. I am assuming that this would not make a differrence. Thanks for any input

ok so does walmart ask for my VZ account information? I am just wondering how any of these stores can charge me $20 for the exact same thing that the VZ store is going to charge me $150 (with the $50 NE2 credit). I have never done this and am just nervous that somehow my VZ contract is going to be canceled. Any feedback is much appreciated.

yes they ask you for your acct info, and it will link into vzw's data.. I've not personally done it, but my mother in law was going to upgrade.. However, walmart/wirefly told her NE2 wasn't eligible yet (which was correct she can't upgrade until sept)

Buddy of mine bought his from BestBuy and picked it up for $40. It was easy and he was able to extend his contract. They pretty much just need your phone number and can pull up your account through the VZW system.

BTW most stores, BB, Wal-Mart, Sears, ETC...have dedicated VZW reps that they work with when selling phones and what not.
