ZV6 Stock Rom for LG Volt

This is a stock rooted rom for the LG Volt based off of the ZV6 update with some updated apps.

I didn't realize until I had built the zip that I had integrated some system app updates prior to pulling the system image. This will not affect the usability but would not be usable to flash back to a pure stock zv6 to take any future updates. Since it's already made I'm posting it for those wanting to update to zv6 but have modified their system. I'll try to post another zip later without the updates so it could be used to revert back to pure stock for the purpose of installing any future firmware updates.

Features..
* Odexed
* Newest SuperSU and su binaries
* Newest Busybox binaries
* Integrated system app updates (Gmail, Chrome, Youtube, Voicemail, etc.)
* Integrated newest Google Play Services to support Android Pay
* Integrated Android Pay

Disclaimer!..

* I have tested this on my phone and it flashed and worked perfectly for me. By downloading and flashing this you agree that I will not be responsible should anything go wrong and your phone Bricks, Breaks or Explodes!

* Always make a backup in TWRP before flashing anything, including this rom. This will help you recover should anything go wrong!

* This Rom formats the system partition so any changes to it including themes, buildprop tweaks, integrated apps, etc. will be lost. This is to ensure that there are no conflicting files that will cause issues.

*There may be issues if installing on a phone running Link2SD, You may want to undo all links and then reapply them after updating.

Download and Instructions in 2nd post!

1 Question, after flashing the ZV6 radio image & installing the ZV6 updated stock rom would we be Able to revert back to say bliss pop or cm12 after flashing the radio image? Hope this isn't a stupid question. Please & thank you ahead of time!

okay i need a little help guys, i gave my brother my rooted volt, he updated it this morning now it wont boot bast the cwm recovery, i tried flahing a previous backup and still booted to recovery, then tried flashing this v6 and hoped that would be the case beings he updated it, but still no luck. anyone know what i can do to get it booting back up?

Dude same here, apparently my device pushed the update (mandatory) and during the update it cancelled/restarted and now the device can't get past CWM recovery. I've tried the same thing you've done but I'm assuming there is still a boot command line in the device that is telling to go into said recovery and apply the update. This command line is possibly permanently stuck and cannot be removed (unless someone figures it out). I'm still researching if anyone has the ability to clear it out of the boot queue for the ZV6 update.

Mine is stuck in CWM too.

Followed the instructions here.
Everything flashed in and successful, but no luck. I'm still stuck in CWM.
Well I've tried several times to reflash the zv6 ROM but I never can make phone calls, I've tried updating my profile, doing ##72783# nothing makes the calls work. My data works. And I can't even revert back to my zv5 backup or flashing the stock zv5 ROM I can't get it to recognize my phone,I've tried flashing the zv5 radio image to nothing! Please help!

Eh, I tried flashing my own zip(finally got my lazy butt to doing it) failed and found this thread. Thanks for making this ROM. I was due for another refllash I guess, Updated system apps are a bonus! I don't expect this one to get another update any time soon unless we got another high level exploit released. This next Black Friday I'm replacing phone anyways I think.

I'm glad I'm not the only one, luckily it's not my primary phone but its sad that it won't even go beyond recovery. Idk I heard my zte elite has a block on it preventing root so alot of people are trying a work around, I think boost just made it more difficult to root on lollipop for some reason.

I just tried applying the ROM as update.zip file but it still couldn't fix this problem. I'm at least 90% sure that there is still a boot command line at the BootLoader startup telling the device to go into recovery/factory reset mode to apply the ZV6 update. I'm still looking into this problem!

Note: The ZV6 update was applied normally through which the update was downloaded normally and should have given me the choice to install it now or later. I have not downloaded the update through this forum or anywhere else.

Bro, I think I found the solution! You're going to need to revert back to ZV3. After that, you can then reroot and install whatever ROM you want.

http://androidforums.com/threads/teach-me-revert-to-v3-and-root-then-flash-rooted-v4-rom.878283/
Follow this guide to revert back to ZV3.
Here's all I did to revert back to V3, the rest to get the modified V4 is very easy now since we have an official recovery:

1. Download the LG Drivers (Download the latest version of LG G3 USB drivers for all variants | AndroMods)

2. Download the .tot (https://mega.co.nz/#!lAImESRI!fzpKjwS5n0cV73BMkUQNLAUk73xE6lmcc4UmeaDdorE)

3. Download LG Flash Tool/DLL (https://mega.co.nz/#!QdJA2RxK!iLmXWf0LXqbxsUtD6vNmnhhR4pTfJTW2Np3HWE2_hQo)

4. Download the megalock.dll (https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B2HGbpXvpDInLWFNd0tBX2hqN0U&authuser=0) put it where you installed Lg Flash Tool (ex. [C:\LG\LGFlashTool])

5. Launch LG Flash Tool, select option 3 if it asks. Select "Manually select DLL". Find "LGLS740_20140414_LGFLASHv160.dll" that should have been in the LG Flash Tool zip. Then click Add and find "LS740ZV3_17.33030_Secure.tot" which should be in the huge 1gb zip you downloaded. Then be sure to select Board_DL and press OK.

6. Turn off phone, plug one end into the phone and the other end into your USB. Press and hold Vol. Up until the DL screen appears.

7. Go to Control Panel on your PC, go to Device Manager, find Ports, find the one that has LG in it or anything identical. Double click and go to the Ports tab, click Advanced and change Port to COM41, if in use just hit Ok anyway.

8. Go back to LG Flash Tool, click the big "Play" like arrow button. It will say READY above COM41. Hold power until you see nothing but a black screen, immediately press and hold Vol. Up, keep holding until it starts flashing the file.

9. When it boots into Mini OS, touch Ok and hold Power and touch Normal boot.

10. Now you're back into V3, you're welcome. Now Update you PRL and you're good to re-root and flash the recovery and the modded V4! This is the beginning to something big.
