Accessories Screen Protectors - Tempered Glass and Standard

Some people are looking for tempered glass or standard regular PET screen protectors. As of late, there have been some available but they have the halo effect. These are the ones that I have found that DO NOT have the halo effect. As more companies are getting their hands on the phone, they're able to make corrections to those that do have the halo effect.

I have them. Ready to peel them off. They don't stick in the corners, and the supplied bumper makes it even worse. As soon as my portfolio case comes in, the glass shield is coming OFF.
Which one do you have? I know some people who complained about the halo, complained to the manufacturer and they are fixing it (if not already) and replacing them free of charge.

I have the Xtreme Guardz and it doesn't stick to the corners because of the curve. I have it on temporarily until I get my SuperShieldz in

I have IQ Shield and they've already processed my refund for both screen protectors. I'll use a leather-ette portfolio case once they come in (DHL lost the first shipment) because the edges overlap the phone on all sides and protect it.
Yea, I don't think these companies new about the curved edge of the screen. If it wasn't for that slight curve, it would fit. So these companies have to go back and trim it down a little more so that it fits only on the flat surface of the screen.

It was the same with the iPhone 6+, most of the early production of screen protectors didn't account for the screen curvature towards the edges and there were complaints all over. But manufacturers adjusted and it's now all good.

Just got the Supershieldz.. used 2 of the 6 and decided to wait until I was less frustrated to install a third. The challenge is the right side, avoiding the LED flash area that the film can't adhere to. So you have to install the film low enough to avoid the flash. Go too low and you go pass the lower edge of the screen and the bumper pushes up against the edge of the film and raises it. It's a good thing they sent 6 films.

Hmmm. Wondered about those. I ordered the Skinomi PET style screen protector since Spigen/Steinheil aren't making one for the Pure. Should arrive on Friday and we'll see how it goes. Good luck with the install!

Does anyone have a pic of the "halo effect"? I'm curious as to what that means/does since I'm unsure as to whether I've ever seen or dealt with it before.. Thanks in advance

Halo effect: where the screen protector does not adhere to the edges of the screen, leaving in essence, a halo around the screen. Googled this pic:

Got my supershieldz installed. The lens was not the problem... the problem is that I'm always rushing. I still did not get the film perfectly centered, but a little offset to the right side. I'm going to give it a couple of days to see if it adheres firmly... if not, I've got 3 more tries... :D

I use two pieces of tape (one on each side) and use them as tabs. This allows me to place them slowly and precisely. Once its on, I take another long piece of tape and use that to grab any lint/dust by simply lifting up the tab. All my installs have been flawless despite me taking my time. Already installed supershieldz on my wifes and I just got my replacement phone today so I'll be installing a 2nd one on that one when I get home.

How is the feel for the Supershieldz? Got the Skinomi on mine and it has a rubbery feel that I don't really care for. I was wanting something smoother feeling. The Spigen ones that I've used in the past were practically as smooth as glass and you really couldn't tell they were on the phone. Anyone know of any PET style protectors like that?

It's smooth like glass. You can't tell it's on there unless you hold it on the side in the right angle and you can see the edge of the protector.

You can see the screen protector applied in the images below.

Fitment is pretty good for using a holster from another phone. You can see a few areas that have gaps but nothing to worry about. Phone is securely in place.

The Note 4 Surface/Dilex (http://amzn.to/1jw4nB3) holster should also fit. Someone on another forum is using an iPhone 6 Plus Seidio Holster (http://amzn.to/1jw4vk7)
