Galaxy S6 Edge is terrible

I tried this phone through the Samsung Trial Program, and the experience was terrible. The battery life sucks, and the phone runs hot. I had read in several forums that this was an issue, but had to see for myself, and it is true. Trying a Note 5 next, but for now will use my trusty iPhone.

I have to say I'm delighted with mine, no overheating and battery life is impressive.

I have to completely disagree. My S4 ran hot. This phone has never run hot. And I can't understand why people are complaining about battery life. I get better battery life with the S6 Edge than I got with my S4.

With my S4 if I used it too long I would get a battery getting too hot message. I've never gotten this with the S6 Edge.

I'm actually pretty pleased with mine. The battery life is pretty similar to other phones I've had (LG G4, G3, Galaxy S5, Note 4, and Nexus 5). The only thing I really miss is the swappable battery, mainly because I'm out taking tons of pictures all day on trips and that does wear down the battery quite a bit.

So you got a trial one for free, gratis and nada? And it didn't work out for you? Out of the millions sold since release, like every product in the history of mobile phones you and maybe (let's have a wild and crazy estimate) 250,000 others, got a dodgy bad one. Indeed yours was a "trial" model. I get the distinct inclination that you consider, because you and others have a similar problem, most, if not all of them do. That is like saying all or most of the iPhone 6s suffered from "bendgate", which is clearly not true. Your experience and search led you to a conclusion about as accurate as my quarter of a million estimate :

Apple is horrible. iPhones suck. Anyone who knows anything about computers knows that Android is 100x better than Apple. I rebuild computers and have developed a couple of Roms for the S5 and am working on one for the S6. As a person who has the knowledge to do these things, I prefer a computer in my pocket. And plus, you can do WAY more with an Android than you can with an iPhone. Oh, and the S6 edge has been recognized and confirmed as the most powerful smartphone ever made.

Well Ive had my Edge for a week. Still impressed. Battery life is better than my S4 and man it sure is fast. Camera is awesome and good integral speaker for such a alim device. I use wireless charging exclusively, it just needs an overnight charge. My worry is the screen. I'always careful with my stuff but still paranoid. I got a Spigen wallet for it but no screen protctor as i havent seen one with a good review.
I have read some theories that the fast charger may be a cause of screen breakages due to the heat it creates so bit reluctant to use it. (Edit: Seems like the 5.1.1 update has resolved the heat problem, so I have read, as opposed to having first hand experience.)
Not so impressed with the edge functionality but the night clock is handy.

Lol I agree. They come out with better smart phones right after you buy the latest and greatest. I really think it is just pointless to do that but I think the reason they do it is because they want you to spend more money on their products.
