No date for roll out was listed but internal rumblings suggest that it may hit before the month of May is over, just in time for the ERIS to hit the EOL list.

IntoMobile suggested that the Hero was getting 2.1 in May, and the Eris was going to follow up in June, But I have not been able to confirm their source. I will have to get in touch with the author.

Edit: After reading the article AGAIN, I cannot find where Blake said "Hero late may, Eris early June." I could have SWORN I heard that on this page. Anyway, whatever, same old story...

Oh I know, I've been down this road since March, before I bought my Eris. I knew it was going to be a long haul and a whole lot of malarkey, but well... I couldn't resist.

Even if it doesn't come at all, I'm still happy with my Eris. Because now I've got that big-honkin' battery from Seidio, and it lasts longer than most smartphones.

But I'm also curious at reading where Blake gets his "HTC promises" info. I'll trust HTC before I trust Verizon.

No seriously..it will be released on August 4th. Just in time for my birthday. I haven't talked to anyone but I put my ear to the Verizon website and I could feel it in my bones. Or was that gas?

I have to be honest - I am just as weary, or perhaps even more weary, of reading scolding posts that mention kittens, face palms, or include pictures of Tommy Lee Jones than I am of speculating posts about the availability of 2.1. If you don't like 'em, just move on to the next thread.
