OK, so my Incredible says it's Sunny out! That's cool if it's like in the middle of the day and it's really Sunny out. However, it's 9:30 at night here in NYC. I know there were a couple of threads about this from some other phones with sense. Anyone having this happen with there Incredible?
I'm just about at my rope. I really like Android and the idea of everything this phone offers, but this thing may be a little to buggy for me.

Mine does the same thing but worse. Shows the current city 5 hours away and sometimes when i do a manual sync it will flop back to my town. I have tried everything, until i found something that works. Anyway, i unticked the "Use wireless networks" under the "Location Tab". I need to call Verizon on this and get it resolved. I'm a little happier with the phone now, this was very annoying.

Perhaps you can look out the window and see that it's not sunny? So you will return the phone because the weather widget says it's sunny at 9:30 PM? You are kidding right?

Everybody's got different priorities, but if a picture of the sun is enough to make you want to return your Inc, that may not be a bad decision for you. There are other things of that nature you'll run into if you haven't already.

The weather widget is an HTC item. It doesn't always work right, even after an update. There are other options available, as others have mentioned.

Sometimes the weather doesn't update automatically. If it's 10:30 pm and you see the sun icon, simply touch the sun and click the refresh icon on the weather screen and it will update everything.

Sometimes it just requires a manual refresh.

That's not the problem. I tried that multiple times - on wifi and 3g.. It's just a broken app.

I got Beautiful Widgets and Weatherbug Elite and they work great.

So let me get this straight, I should look out the window? Wow that never occurred to me. See its people like you that give some forums a bad name. First off, forums like this exist to answer questions and help people out, and to also have people voice there opinions on certain products and devices. I may be kind of new here, but I'm not a new jack buddy! I've been around long enough to have used a blackberry when the screens were black and white, and when a Palm Treo 650 was the best thing since sliced bread. Yes I do know my share of things.

So take it easy how you answer people my friend. Let's be clear I like Android, and I like HTC. However like some other people I've had more then a few problems with this phone, and on more then one of them. Next time maybe you should have an answer that works towards a fix, or maybe just say nothing at all.

according to vzw, there was an update to the weather provider (accuweather?) a couple weeks before the Inc launch.

It is a bug (effects other phones, also). Not sure why only some phones/areas.

A hard reset fixed it for me, but it got "stuck" again shortly after.

I replaced it with Beautiful Widgets and exiled it permanently.

I know it's silly to release a phone with EVERY promo pic showing a functioning widget that many consumer can't produce, but it is vzw ;-)

The refresh icon doesn't always update mine, but if I go to menu and choose refresh it usually works. My biggest problem with the widget is that it doesn't have a detailed forecast. Does beautiful widgets or weatherbug have a cool interface like the HTC and offer detailed forecasts (with hour to hour type detail)?

I agree! And coming from the iPhone and a Blackberry, where they offer nothing like sense and such a nice weather interface it would just be nice if it worked correctly. Thanks to mostly everyone for there insightful answers and options. Going to give beautiful widgets a look.
