Hey guys,

Here's my app list. I want it to help people, especially us n00bs, find the best useful apps quickly.

Q&A:
Q: @jakewill - Why is your list any better than other "Must Have Apps" lists?
A1: I ONLY list free apps
A2: I keep my list updated in the first post - no reading through pages of posts
A3: I ONLY post apps that I use day-to-day. No Fart apps, etc.
A4: I have links to all my apps via AppBrain or APK file.

Added 5/13

Added 5/12

Added 5/11
  • Gallery 3D APK - updated to bug-free Gallery3D - Thanks JustinHemi!
  • RingDroid - Creates ringtones based on your MP3's
  • ShopSavvy - Great for scanning barcodes and getting relevant info on the scanned product immediately Thanks Nightfishing!
  • Guitar: Solo Lite - Decent Guitar app
  • Super Froggy - Good Frogger Game

Added 5/10

That's all for now. Enjoy!

Thanks for the list, but can you imagine how cluttered the forum would get if everyone started a new post to list their favorite apps? There is already an ongoing thread with peoples favorite apps...

Yeah, I understand... But (A.) The forum is ALREADY cluttered beyond belief. and (B.) I wanted to start a thread with all of the good apps listed in the first post.

Thanks for the constructive criticism, though. I just want to give a list of apps that I think will help people.

Could you post a link to the google earth apk. Are there any risks installing it as it hasn't officially been announced by google for the incredible?

I am still not 100% on the idea of using third party apps to access google accounts. Even if their intentions are good, it still is not ideal.

Just something to consider when shopping.

Agreed, as usual download at your own risk! For protection, keep a good password, and update your google account security questions.

Thanks for the warning.

IMO, Astro is the best file browsing app.

You're missing Barcode Scanner (QR codes, etc.)

I don't like that Astro is a Beta and expires at the end of the month.

I did add Barcode Scanner. I thought Google Goggles could handle the QR codes, but it won't actually open them up in the market... Barcode Scanner does, though! Thanks, Woop.

Jakewill,

I recommend using the following link for the gallery app. I don't know if you have this issue, but a lot of people report having the app you linked force close when hitting the camera button. The below link is the corrected file, which I am running without flaw. I have also included the discussion thread for reference.

As discussed here (the corrected file link is presented on page 5);

ShopSavvvy is a similar app but works better at reading barcodes (in my experience) and has better shopping related results.

Works for opening up apps in the market, too.

Both work when opened from the google/shopping site.
