Root [H631/MS631] CyanogenMod 12.1 for LG G Stylo

This device is by no means dead. The other dev I'm working with has been a bit busy lately, and today I'm starting from scratch with the kernel. After CM has the led off, gps working, and camera working (aka basic functionality), I'll start getting upbring for Carbon, and Riku is working on AICP upbring. If you want to follow CM for this device, follow the DevDB project at http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/cyanogenmod-12-1-h631-ms631-10j-10j-t3259281.
You know there's a thread for the Stylo on XDA lol but otherwise, this is awesome. Thanks for your hard work and dedication

Are you using the device repos posted on TeamRegular's github account or do you have your ou are using to build withwn device repos you are using? If you have your own device tree repos are they on github? I ask this because I am working on building XenonHD for the h631. I currently have it booting to the point it shows the starting apps toast after optimizing all the apps. But then it falls back to a boot loop. I have pulled a logcat and for the life of me I can not pin point what is causing the crash. I already had to modify the device tree some just to get to this point asjust using the TeamRegular device tree repos as they are would not build. I added TARGET_KERNEL_SOURCE to the device/lge/h631/BoardConfig.mk so the kernel would build inline. That got it building but it would only boot to splash screen not far enough to pull a log cat. So I add PRODUCT_BOOTCLASSPATH, PRODUCT_SYSTEM_SERVER_CLASSPATH, and TARGET_LDPRELOAD to the device/lge/g4stylus-commom/BoardConfigCommon.mk and the required blob files that are in the BOOTCLASSPATH. This got the init.environ.rc to have the correct values and has me booting to where I am now. But as I said I cannot find what is causing the system crash in my logs. I have not pushed these changes yet as I wanted to wait until it is booting to home screen so I know they are actually needed. Just trying to see if you can offer any info that will help me out here without playing the trial and error game. Hope to here back from you.

Alright, until link is updated in OP, https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24269982087005393

Flashable AIO Built 11/26/2015

EDIT: Camera and GPS still don't work. I'll look into it.[/QUOTE
Totally fine. Yes. Dev I'm working with says he can fix notification LED and i might just build just for that since it is annoying af. If I were you, if you can LIVE with the stock rom, just wait until a few quirks are sorted out. I'll pri be building pretty frequently. Don't know if i can get every build's link into the OP so just keep checking down here.
I can't flash it it keeps saying error

Yeah, it never made it to my Stylo builds , but it was tested on Leon which also had the same error about the missing color format.

I hate I broke my Leon I had. I actually had XenonHD built for it and booting. And the camcorder was one of the issues I had I was trying to figure out before releasing it. I had to even build a recovery for it as the one posted here did not work for some reason. I spent a lot of time wirking with that device.

Carlton I'm not sure then sorry, I came from Katana as well but I have one of the new stylos, shouldn't make a difference I think.
So the fix enables GPS and video recording or only GPS? I read on the XDA thread and it says there's still a bug that causes it to crash. Maybe I'm misunderstanding
The 11-26 build bradym512 upped had no GPS, camera, and LED on. T-Macgnolia brought up why gps and camera didn't work and uploaded the two files that fixed that. I just made that zip so you don't have to manually place the files and set permissions. Video recording is what makes the camera force close, but GPS and still photos work.

Flash the older build by TeamRegular. They are both the same builds but the 11/26 has support for newer screens. The 11/26 also broke something's non intentionally. Since you have the older Stylo it will work just fine.

Excuse me, when you say older stylo, which firmware is printed under the battery.
Thank you.
It's not printed under the battery really. LG released a new Stylo with a different screen to cut cost. If you bought your Stylo and it came with the 10j update out of the box, you have the Stylo with the newer (Cheaper) screen. If you bought your Stylo and it didn't come with the 10j update and you had to update it yourself, you have the original Stylo with the original screen (Which is better)

Thanks for the info,

@Gbob2k15

I was looking at the cm12 to see if I could help out. I have a 10d firmware stylo and have only had a few problems with this rom that were fixable. Now i see that LG is up to their old tricks of putting cheaper components into their top sellers to cut production costs. This is becoming their new M.O. and it does hinder when developing ROMS. _(PIA)_

Thanks Again,
Cheers ,
