Cracked screen...

I just cracked my screen pretty bad on my Hero. I have Cellular South and am wondering which screen I need to buy. I've looked around and it seems that there are different ones. Can anyone please help me out? I'd greatly appreciate it.

I think there are 2 Hero's.
The last post showed a touch screen for the sprint hero.
Check with the supplier if it is the correct one for your phone.

Also that is just the touch screen the lcd is seperate.
So you need to know if the crack is in the touch screen overlay or the lcd.

If you search on this forum you will find other posts similar to your question with answers.

The controls seem just fine so I hope that's all it is. Is there way to check and make sure? I tried to search for the answer.

Hi,

My UK HTC hero fell out of my pocket & the sceen has cracked on the top left. I can't upgrade handset on my contract till May 2011. I do have orange care cover but don't want to replace and go into a new 18 month contract stuck with a hero (as much as I love it I am really craving a desire/hd at the earliest upgrade opportunity).

The phone still works fine & the crack doesn't seem to effect touchscreen performance. I would just like to replace with a new screen, espesh now I have finally upgraded software to 2.1!

I found this link HTC Hero LCD Screen for a new screen wiv instructions.. has anybody else used this and can comment on how difficult it is to do..? any other recommendations appreciated..
