So yesterday I realized that the "htc" logo on my dinc is coming off. First I noticed that the upper portion of the h had fully separated from the rest of the letter. Then I saw today that the lower portion of the h is curling up and is comin unglued. I treat it fairly gently so I think its having something to do with heat from the battery. Is anyone else having this problem?

Mine is not, but when I first got the phone one of my first thoughts was that those pretty silver letters wouldn't last long with normal use.

here's what it looks like...
This is what I saw yesterday...just as I was showing it off to an iPhoner...had to flip it over...hope he didn't see it...so embarrasing...

Then today, as I picked it up, i felt something poking at my hand...

So I had to try to take it off, flatten it out, and glue it back on =[

It's on there...but it looks all mangled. *sigh* What kind of company can't even make their logo stay on the phone?

Highly doubt HTC made the case.

This might be true, but if a few other people on this forum, and atleast one other person on the web (googled) have had this happen, I feel like it's something that they should have caught during testing. I dunno, it's just kinda annoying...might end up taking them off entirely...but!... shiiiinnyyyyy.....

That's what I would probably do... then paint it.

Wanted to update, after contacting HTC support, and a few days of waiting, and conversing, they're going to send me a new backplate. On my current, I've already removed the shiny logo, because the [slightly] mangled h bothered me too much. But they say it'll take like 2 weeks to get to me... :/

Who did you contact and what did you say? I had the same issue and I am wondering what I should do to get it fixed. Let me know any info that could help me get this done as well. Thanks! :D

I had the same issue around day 3 of having the phone and I called HTC, they said that they would not have extra parts for 3 weeks and asked me to go into Verizon and ask for the back of a phone that had been returned. Verizon had no issues and did just that. While I was there I got the black silicone case to stop the issue from happening in the future.

I tried this, but my Verizon has been out of stock with no returns since I had the problem...
