So i moved one of our family phones from Virgin To Cricket. I live in the S.F. Bay Area and set the plan up on an iPhone 5s. Within one weeks time i have had two situations were the phone has been send to voicemail and the phone did not ring at all. I have never had this problem with virgin. One time i called my wife to find her in the store which we were both in and i called her from my virgin mobile phone. and the other time she was at a friends house. After calling twice the call went through. I had heard this may happen if the towers are tied up by att customers but the Cricket rep said it was highly unlikely. Is this Normal for you Cricket users?

I have had this happen to me before, but I don't make much of a deal of it, because it doesn't happen that often. Also when I was with Sprint it happened more then it happens with Cricket for me, so I simply deal with it. Usually when it happens to me, it is usually indoors, and sometimes if the signal drops on my device indoors in a certain area. I have a friend of mine that I had referred to Cricket, and she live 30 minutes away from me, and it use to always happen to her, and she got fed up and decided to go to TMO and she has had no issues at all. a few years ago I did a test with TMO, and I was not happy with their service so I went back to Sprint at the time, so it is hit or miss. So if you find a reason, or a solution let us know, but that is all I have for you right now.

Thanks for the reply. So i got on chat with a cricket support agent and explained the situation. The lady said that she improved the signal of my phone my changing towers that my phone connects to which would give out a better signal so this would never happen again. I really dont know if i believe that will fix the problem or not I guess i will have to see. After she made the switch on her end i had to keep my phone off for 15 mins.

I've never heard of that before, but if this is true, I'd like to hear back from you to see if it did make a difference. I would be calling your device, where you know you have been missing calls to test it out and see. let us know. ;)

Another reason this happens is due to your phone doing something else on the network when the call comes in.. Used to be REAL bad before LTE came out.. If you where using data it would make your phone miss calls

You have an LTE phone or no? If not, data could be what's causing this to happen

On Verizon, I have calls go to VM if I am using DATA, they only support one or the other, not both.

That is a problem with CDMA, not the carrier.

There is a difference between actually using data, and just browsing, or reading Facebook... DATA is downloaded and then cached until you move off of a page, and then a brief shot of DATA downloads some more for you to look at.

I have tried many times to use the internet while on a call.... it won't work... even if a WiFi signal is available.

GSM phones don't have this problem.

Okay so i tested this for over a week now and have not had the same problem. I am actually really happy with the service now. Where i live i used to only get 1 to 2 bars and now i am usually getting 2 to 3 which is good for me. The phone i am using for this service is a Note 4 and yes it's GSM. I hope this info help someone else who has the same problem

Nothing different I just called the reps and they transferred me to an upper level tech i dont remember what they were exactly called. They made the adjustments and asked me to keep my phone off for a certain amount of time. That was it. She was it could take about 24 hours or less to complete but that was it.
