Accessories Case allowing use of finger print scanner?

Hi everyone,

Been awhile since I've posted on here. I work in an industrial environment so a case is a must and I prefer the 2 piece style ones where it has a soft inner liner, which is good for drops on concrete and the harder shell, which is good for bumping into valve stems and piping. My current case for some reason prevents it from reading my finger print no matter how I position the phone. I have no issue with the case off, but at work that's not an option.

Does your case have a hole in it, to allow your finger to completely touch the fingerprint scanner? Like it's not obstructed or has a plastic window in it.

It has a full cut out, I think it just angles my finger too much to properly cover the sensor. It works fine without the case.

I can use the tip of my finger on my FPS.
Did you register your entire finger? (Just saying).

Try re-registering your fingerprint with the phone in the case.

I've trimmed part of my case and now there's no problem getting it to work.

Check to see if you have an update. verizon pushed an update where you dont need to touch the metal band anymore for the scanner to work. my theory is it was a security idea from LG to make sure YOU had to be the one unlocking your phone

As opposed to something else unlocking your phone?

I just got this case today (picture below has slots on the side that expose the metal sides):

I also have this case but in clear. I like it. It is strong but not heavy. It is cheaper in other sites. I do not recomend to buy it from manufacturer directly
