Hi, I have a Chinese tablet :( I know sorry lol.. anyway was working brilliant its got Android 4.4.4 or a version there of i guess i dunno.. Anyway all was fine until screen cracked, and lost touch on one side of the tablet... So researched and found it to be an Allwinner A33 tablet model 906.. so sourced a new screen/digitizer and fitted it.. However as good as it is and all working and like new.. The touch doesn't seem to be in right place.. If i click Bottom right corner the cross hair shows Im clicking there.. However as i move my finger up The cross hairs reach the top of the screen before my finger does, The same with going left.. It seems to get worse the firthurthur i go.. in the middle of the tablet if i click dead center, cross hairs appear about 1cm to the left and up.. So obviously need to re calibrate the screen somehow.. I have tried all recovery modes boots and resets as i was told it should calibrate it it self.. I've tried apps that say they do it as well, but alas nothing works.. PLEASE HELP!

How badly was the other screen cracked?do you think it was bad enough to say shattered?and if so are you positive you cleaned the lining where the screen is placed?all very important steps when replacing any devices screen sensor or lcd;i find that even the smallest of particles can throw of the screens accuracy by ether leaving spaces between the screen and its casing making it unable to locate the touch position or small pieces of the old screen gets wedged in to part of the board shorting it out,i might suggest dismantling it down again and try air blowing it out a bit more at least around where the screen goes, and if that dosent do it you might be a hardware problem of when the screen got damaged so did the board;but i hope not...good luck to ya.

I would guess that you haven't got the exact right replacement part, physically it's probably the same, but it's electrically different, and not suitable for the particular Android build in your tablet. Or the part might have been revised, changes made, and subsequent tablet production updated in the firmware.

Usually there is no way of re-calibrating these things, the tablet's Android build was for a specific part. Problem is there's really no definitive information for these things, manufacturers are unknown. You probably know more about this thing than anyone, except for the anonymous company that made it

Old style resistive screens that used a stylus often could be user re-calibrated, but capacitive screens usually not.

Precisely,in example=Take 2 Galaxy S4 one metro pcs one T-mobile exactly alike in every way even model#,but when opened everything is identical accept one will have a ribbin that is 2inch longer;but still usable but will not fit the devices construction frame, maybe you have a different region model screen, Uk,philippines, etc. in the case of yours is Chinese, but mike dt hypothesis hits the nail on the head, and is more than likely you answer.

They were the wrong type, the way you described the off calibration sound like power serg,so looked into it and it seem allwinner doesn't list a model numbers to the device, they identify there devices by processor and then those last three numbers are in case it needs customer service,in example;your allwinner 7"inch tablet with processor A33 is giving to much power to the sensory screen made for the allwinner 7"inch tabet with processor A13,so when looking for an allwinner model 906is touch screen replacement its just gouing to give you allwinner 7" tablet all A# processor and the screens are exact in size and shape but take different currency of power given by the processor take a look=On top(Allwinner 7inch tablet Processor A33)and on bottom(Allwinner 7inch tablet Processor A13) As you can see they look almost identical but run at different processing.like mike dt brilliantly deducted from just the description of the problem, good call mike dt!in conclusion...your allwinner tablet is to powerful for that screen.sorry
