Hi everyone, I hope everything body is having a great start of the year!
I am trying to figure out the best new release of android based phone to purchase.
I do not have a good history with positive Verizon treatment and I would not do business with them unless they were the last company left ono the earth and then I would have to think about it.
When I was married, we tried Cricket Wireless and their network coverage and customer service was really bad.
I have had some good, some bad with GoSmart, an off-shoot of T-Mobile.
A friend rented a phone for me which was the Samsung Galaxy Mega that turned out, it was set up for the United Republic of Arabia. The antenna was set up differently and I could not even print to a printer in my home and data was so slow, it was coming through as 2g and the internet/phone would time-out.
I now have an LGL41C that the same friend bought for me off of a private citizen. I am using a BYO Trac phone and using Straight Talk which has been failing while receiving or sending text for up to 12 hours after they were sent. So my generous son tells me we will be buying me a new phone tomorrow.
I have no idea what to buy.
I see, by your post you are a big Nexus, 6P fan. What really messes with me is the fact that I did not see the 6P listed as one of the best android phones on the site. Did I miss it or perhaps did not recognize it in the list.
My son has the Samung Galaxy 6?, whichever one was released in the middle of 2015.
The battery life is miserable, the memory falls short, and why Samsung did not move up to the Marshmallow O.S., seems a little evil as well. It is tops when it comes to the camera, but not good enough to make me want to buy it for myself.
I went to the CNET site and read their review, taking into consideration everyone has their likes and dislikes. The two phones which caught my eye were the Nexus 6P and the Blackberry Priv.
I know what I like and afraid I will get stuck with an expensive phone, I will not utilize to warrant the money my son is willing to spend!
I need a lot of memory or the ability to add it. I really prefer a removable battery with a long life. I love the camera on my son's phone, but I do not need it. The ability to move apps to SD card. I need to have a phone I can use as Hotspot or at least use to connect to my other devices, to access and utilize the internet I now have. I have and use a lot of different apps for saving, editing and printing files and documents. I play games as well!
If this is too much to ask anyone to read, I get it. I use it a lot so a great screen would be awesome!
I still do not know or have a good idea what I need to buy for a new smartphone.
Thanks,
