Hello,
Just after an update a few days ago, my Stock Nexus 6 no longer replies to my google now searches. I have checked the setting to insure voice response is always on, Searches are working but i dont hear any response.
All my other sounds seems to be ok. Any Ideas?

Thanks!!

I think it's Google's servers misbehaving. I sometimes either get my voice search shunted to the regular Google search engine or it comes up with something completely off the wall. For example, yesterday I said "show me a history of super bowl halftime shows" and I saw the exact words i spoke show up, but the the result took me to something about cooking for halftime parties.

I'd give it a day or so and see if it clears itself up before blaming the phone. :)

I noticed some oddities with the "set alarm" command this weekend:
  • "Set an alarm FOR 30 minutes from now LABEL stop for milk, peanut better and jelly" didn't work and gave me an error: "sorry, could not reach Google"
  • "Set an alarm for 30 minutes from now label shopping" did work
  • All the other command I tried worked ("note to self" and "what's the weather")
I tried several times and it seemed repeatable.

What struck me was that the error message ("can't reach Google") seemed to very inappropriate considering it had no problem reaching Google on my other commands and the real problem seemed to be that the command was too complicated to understand or interpret (Although I have used such command successfully before this past weekend)

Im glad it wasnt just my Nexus 6 getting quirky.

I tried a search, it popped up my wifi settings to want to change location settings.....I mumbled
"what the f are you doing" and it picked up THAT verbatim in the background
